constraints of the building prevent us from being
awarded 5 stars, it is our aim to maintain 5 star standards

We undertake ~
· To set rates that offer good value for money and are comparable with or
better than other similarly

“The
Way Things should be....”

If only you could guarantee that the
reality matched the product promised on the internet....
When booking Brighton Pavilions, I thought that if it was at
least comfortable and quiet, It would have been good value.
It was a real pleasure to find that that was just the starting
point and to find the place run with real care and warmth. The
decor is well conceived and executed. The fabrics are heavy and
excellent quality, the 4-poster bed was heavy and solid, not
some cheap gimmick frame, the fireplace was marble, not some
faux paint effect, there were fresh cut flowers in the room, the
service was helpful, warm and unobtrusive and everything was
immaculately clean.
In addition, the bed itself was very comfortable with lovely
feather pillows and the full breakfasts we ordered were promptly
delivered to the room and were very good indeed.
We are uber mega picky people and can be a pain in the rear. We
are also dreadful snobs and have not stayed in a B&B for a very
long time. Suffice to say, reading the above, we will definitely
return here with pleasure. Well done Guys!

“Just
Perfect...”

We were offered a warm welcome as we
arrived, or bags were carried to our rooms and we were provided
with a parking permit (pre-purchased) and clear advice as to
where to park.
The gentlemen running this establsihment are warm and welcoming.
The B and B is absolutely immaculate and exquisitely decorated.
Rooms were cleaned and refreshments replensihed on a daily basis
and breakfast was cooked to order, with offers of extra coffee
juice etc.
The b and b is within walking distance of the Pvillion, many of
the clubs and bars and the sea front.
We had a fantastic stay and we will definitely be returning to
this b and b, it offers excellent value for money.

“A
friendly, clean and cozy hotel.”

We were greeted in a very friendly and
helpful manner, given guides to the city and advice of where to
go to do whatever we fancied, which made us feel right at home.
It was exceptionally clean and tidy which we appreciated and
considering the central location and high standard of the room
it seemed like good value for money.
The girlfriend was very happy with her birthday weekend, so we
would definitely come back to try another themed room next time.
Our only regret was not booking time off work to stay another
day

“a
very comfortable and stylish hotel with a very warm welcome”

My boyfriend and I were very happy with
our stay here. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel
very welcome. Our room was gorgeous. It was themed as the
titanic and had a very comfortable 4 poster bed. We both slept
amazingly well. Breakfast was delicious and our hosts could be
more helpful. We were given good advice about good eating places
and sights to see

“Excellent
service, warm and friendly atmosphere”

Even though the hotel was full on the
second night - we hardly heard anyone else. This is an ideal
place to spend a quiet romantic weekend. The owners recommend
some restaurants in their room information, one of which we
tried and that was excellent too. We hope to come back and would
recommend the Brighton Pavillions to anyone

“Simply
delicious!”

Having stayed in Brigton many times,
mostly at the Hilton and once at the ghastly Queens Hotel, I was
not sure what to expect from one of Brightons smaller
establishments. However from the moment we drew up outside the
front door with its warm glow from the hall lights it felt like
comming home.
We were met by our host Phil who greeted us with a warm smile
and shown to our room. The room itself was warm, welcoming and
immaculate, as was the rest of this cosy little haven tucked
away on a street just off the shore road.
Our first nights sleep was comfortable and the breakfast the
next morning was fresh and delicious. Coffee and warm toast
flowed from the ship-shape kitchen and the door between the
dining room and kitchen was constantly open which allowed some
banter between the staff and us as well as making us feel even
more at home - this in itself was I felt a lovely touch as too
often kitchens are hidden away from view, but not here, it was
just like being in an aunts house for the weekend, albeit it
tasteful and stylish aunt (no mothballs here!!!!!)
The following night was equally lovely, so much so that we
decided to stay a third night and in return we had the
opportunity to taste another of the Hotel's individually
designed rooms - this time on the top floor, again there was no
dissappointment here, no drafy attic space or servants quaters
at the top of this beautiful old house, instead we were welcomed
by the devine "Mikado room", lovingly decorated in greens and
reds with yet another immaculate bathroom served with lashings
of hot water from a shower that had enough power to scrub the
decks of a cargo ship.............Conrad Hiltons establishment
could learn a thing or two from Phil and his co-pilot Ken in
running a hotel.
However now i will stop my ramble by saying that the staff at
this joyous little port of rest are second to none, nothing was
a problem, nothing was too much to ask and nothing from Hilton
and Co could have ever impressed either of us as much. To Phil
and Ken and their crew - we will be back again soon and we will
bring all our friends.
P.s. My only regret is that the owners are not running a hotel
chain - these people understand hospitality, and I for one would
be a shareholder if the did run such a chain.
Enjoy your stay here........we did

“Fab
room and stay for the weekend”

We had a great stay in the Royal Pavillion
room. Fantastically comfortable bed and having room service
breakfast was perfect (especially with a hangover!). The room
was well dressed, clean and has some lovely touches. The hosts
were very friendly and eager to help out and recommend places to
eat. Had a couple of probs with cold water from the shower
(stuck controls) but was quickly resolved.
Will definitely come again the next time we're in Brighton and
have no hesitation in recommending this hotel

“Best
Hotel and weekend away EVER!”

I adore this hotel. I've stayed all over
the place and this pretty much tops my list. I can't really rave
enough- but will try!
My amazing dude surprised with the whole thing, and I was
impressed to the extent that I had to try to be quiet and calm
myself. The whole place is beautiful and our room (Royal
Pavillion) was gorgeous. There was even a sea view! And I wanted
to take the bed home.
The gents who run the place are ace- kind and helpful. They
sorted me out with a restaurant and were happy to chat.
It's just lovely. It's ridiculous and sumptuous and very fun.
I would advise any man who wants to properly impress their lover
to take them here

“Excellent
place to stay in Brighton.”

My fiancee and i stayed in the titanic
room and it was fantastic - clean, well designed, lovely decor
and very comfortable The complementary snacks were a lovely
touch and the flowers and robes made it feel really special.
There were wine glasses in the room so we were able to take a
bottle of wine to have before we went out in the evening. The
breakfast brought into the room was really nice and it was
lovely not to have to get dressed and go downstairs. Only one
tip - ladies, take your own hairdryer - the one in the room was
pretty useless!

We visit Brighton up to 5 times a year and
would not consider staying anywhere other than the Brighton
Pavillions. The hotel has a charming character, with cosy and
comfortable rooms. We have had the pleasure of staying in three
different rooms and all are of a particularly high standard. The
proprietors have always been friendly and helpful and go out of
their way to make you feel welcome and at home. We would highly
recommend this hotel to anyone who is considering staying in
Brighton.

“If

What a really nice Hotel, each room is
individually themed, fitted out and decorated to a impecciable
standard ( if only my house was as nice). This attention to
detail runs throughout the building and gives you an idea how
Ken & Phil are so proud of the place. Two really friendly guys
who made us feel so welcome, its a real pleasure to meet people
like this. When they say have a nice day, its genuine and not
some corperate buzz line.
Went to see UB40 in concert, OK so so. Stayed in a wonderful

“This
hotel is beyond excellence: an experience in
total elegance and absolutely out

I am delighted to give this hotel and its
owners a first class recommendation. I am accustomed to staying
in hotels on business through out Europe and of them all this
one stands alone in its elegance, charm and hospitality. Add to
ths the experience of being accommodated in period bedrooms
(decorated with absolute integrity to the style) and you have a
very memerable and immensely charming visit. The proprietors are
beyond gracious and personally extremely friendly very
approachable and concerned to respond to any request you might
have successfully and expediently. This is my second visit and I
shall be recommending the hotel to my professional and business
colleagues with relish.

“Look

My
wife and I spent 2 nights to
celebrate my 70th birthday.
We were welcomed like family
and everything about the
room was lovely except
perhaps the floor to ceiling
sash windows which were a
little draughty at this time
of year. We loved the
availability of free
chocolate, orange juice and
mineral water in the fridge
and the room decor was rich.
The ensuite was on the small
side but for a few nights it
was fine.
I was lucky to get an on
street parking spot but
could envisage problems at
busier times although one
can park freely on the
seafront overnight.
Breakfast was served
promptly to order in our
room and a lovely touch was
a gift and card on my
birthday. Look no further if
you want to be a little
pampered

“Great
Family Weekend at Excellent
Hotel”

We
stayed at Brighton Pavilions
for two nights early
November. There were four of
us - myself, my wife, our
three year old son and my
mother. We went to Brighton
to celebrate her 60th
birthday.
Brighton Pavilions had ideal
accomodation for us. On the
top floor we had the Family
Suite, which included a
seperate bedroom for the
little one, and my mother
was next door in the Mikado
room.
The hotel is lovely and
literally a minute's was to
the seafront. Rooms are good
quality. Ken is a excellent,
charming host, and the
breakfast was delicious. We
almosthad the place to
ourselves at the time.
It was an ideal place to
celebrate a special
occassion, and we
particularly enjoyed an
evening meal at the nearby
Kemp Brasserie.
Thoroughly recommended -

“Wonderful!
Friendly! and worth every
penny”

We'd
like to take this
opportunity and thank our
hosts (Ken and Phil) for
making our stay at the
Brighton Pavilions hotel
extra special, even though
the weather was not very
nice.
When we arrived we were met
by Ken who helped us with
our bags from the car. We
were given our parking
permits which we had
pre-booked, and were able to
park safely near to the
hotel, although there is
ample, and safe parking
areas in adjacent streets if
you are unable to park
directly outside the hotel.
The Brighton Pavillions
hotel is within easy walking
distance to the centre of
Brighton, and there are lots
of good restuarants and pubs
to choose from along the
way. The hotel itself was
very clean and well
maintained and our room 'The
Bardot Room' situated on the
ground floor was very
comfortable with modern tea
and coffee making facilities
and a fridge with bottled
water, coke and chocolate
thrown into the bargain! The
en-suite bathroom and toilet
were very well maintained
with fresh towels every day
(if you needed them).
Breakfast was very good, a
choice of cereals,
freshfruit, orange/applejuice,
tea, fresh coffee, followed
by a traditional cooked
breakfast with vegetarian
option. Ken provided us with
good advice about where to
visit and we ubsequently
visited 'The Royal Pavilion'
(A Must See) taking
advantage of a 10% discount
offered by the hotel.
Overall, we had a great
weekend and we will
definately be going back to
the Brighton Pavilions hotel

so quiet for Brighton.2 very
small gripes
though.....there was a long

that if you are staying in

there are a lot of stairs.
Wouldn't normally have been

sprained her knee recently.
If you do have mobility

B&B on edge of central Brighton”

Spent
a lot of time researching
hotels in Brighton. Was very
happy with the Brighton
Pavillions. On the edge of
what would be termed central
Brighton so nicely out of
the hustle and bustle of the
town but 2 mins to the beach
and 10 mins to the lanes.
Very clean hotel with nice
attention to detail from the
carpets upwards. Camelot
room very cosy if lacking
the views of the downs
mentioned on the web site.
Discreet staff. Nice
breakfast. Found the Muang
Thai restaurant on St James
St very good. A good nights

We thank you for your positive feedback and
are pleased that we met expectations, especially when a lot of research had
gone into the choice. I would however like to correct the comment about the
view from Camelot ~ our web site in fact describes 'a pretty view over our
patio gardens'. The web site also has photos of each room's view but nowhere
do we mention views of the Downs because unfortunately we don't have any.

“An
oasis of charm with guaranteed comfort and hospitality.”

The owners of Brighton Pavilions Hotel go
to considerable trouble to ensure their guests feel completely
at home. Phil and Ken obviously love their work and their
natural enthusiasm increases the enjoyment of staying. The rooms
are beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and sumptuously
appointed. Staff are discreet and you are treeted as their
guest. Plenty of interesting restaurants and bars are close by
or the walk into Brighton centre is about 8 minutes. Check out
their website, book and you will not be disappointed.

“Brilliant
stay - great location, faultless service.”

I stayed here with my girlfriend on the 10th Oct 2009 for a couple of nights. We originally booked the Camelot room, but when we arrived we were offered a free upgrade to the Titanic Suite because nobody else was using it that weekend. The Titanic room is one of the bigger ones, with a table and chairs in a bay window. Because of this, they bring your breakfast up to your room, which is a nice touch. The breakfast was excellent.
The owners were really friendly and helpful, sorting out our parking and offering lots of useful info about Brighton as soon as we arrived. There's even a selection of DVDs that you can borrow, free of charge, to watch in your room.
The hotel's about a 5 minute walk from the pier and roughly 10 minutes from The Lanes, which is where most of the restaurants are. We both really enjoyed Brighton, and if we go again, we'll definitely stay here.

This hotel is immaculate and a great place to stay for several days. It is quite central to the town and the sights of Brighton. We stayed in the Titanic room, which is a fair sized room and quite comfortable. The bathroom is rather small with a toilet, basin and shower, but meets a traveller's needs adequately.

I stayed here during the Flash on the Beach 2008 conference. It was a nice place for my first visit to Brighton! Thinking about staying again ... Pompeii room was nice. I had no problems staying here! Charm and cleanliness of the rooms and hotel made up for the small size (I think). Very quiet, which was good! “Nice
Hotel”
Arrived earlier than anticipated and received a cheery welcome from Ken, who showed us to our room immediately after check-in.
We stayed in the Pompeii Pavilion and found it to be immaculately clean with some very nice extra touches, such as a clock, DVD player - and decent sized towels, which is a rarity these days! The room dimensions are given on the website, but the photos do give the impression of them being bigger and although there was ample drawer space, there was nowhere to store the cases other than the floor. We didn't have any problem with hot water but, again, although the bathroom had everything we needed, it was small and wouldn't say it was "luxury" as advertised.
There is obviously a very high standard of housekeeping and mirrors have been cleverly used in the interior design to emphasise space. The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast is fantastic!
It's worth getting car parking permits (£5 per day) because you can walk everywhere - pier/Pavilion/Lanes one way 10-15 minutes/marina the other way 20-25 minutes - but we had to park two roads away and if you get hemmed in it can be quite a challenge getting out! Well done Sis!

~ “Better than home”
My friend and I absolutely loved our stay in the 'Royal' Suite! The hotel was plush, clean, fragrant and very comfortable, as was the suite. The welcome and provisions made were just right. Phill and Ken have been very considerate in planning these things out. The bed was comfortable and we loved the room decor. There was ample space to sit in the bay window and have a nice cup of tea, with a view of the sea to boot! The shower had POWER!!! - Which was most welcome after a couple hours travel to refresh before hitting the beach and town. The hairdryer was a good one and the travel kettle in the room was good quality - such an improvement on some of the plastic ones you get. The lovely outdoor patio areas were like little oases. We were even able to borrow a couple of DVDs to watch in the room. At breakfast Mark was friendly and welcoming and cooked a gorgeous filling breakfast. We had the 'Full English' to set us up for a days shopping, but there was a great selection to suit everyone. My friend thought the bacon was particularly excellent. Thanks to Phill, Ken and Mark for making our stay a special one. I would definately book again!

~ “My
first word was, 'WOW'...”
We were taken upstairs to our room by a very helpful and welcoming Phill and when I saw the room, my first word was, 'WOW!' We were booked into the The Titanic Pavillion and it really was a breathtaking sight. The detailed and themed decoration was superb in every aspect. A beautiful smell in the air came from fresh cut flowers in the room.
The bed had a 'memory foam' mattress as were the pillows and it was all so snug and comfortable that it was hard to get up in the morning. If it had been raining I don't think we would have! But the sun came out of the clear blue sky and the hotel was only minutes from the sea, the Pier, the bars, shops and resturants so we made a valiant effort to get up. Wonderfully long, white and silky net curtains adorned the windows, where we had a view of the sea and ate our breakfast, which was brought up to us in our room. We showered in the tastefully decorated en suite before making our way out, thankful that we were staying for another night and would be able to repeat the experience all over again.
The room, in fact the whole hotel was immaculately clean and tidy. Not a trace of dust or dirt anywhere - and I did look! We will definitely be back and would recommend the Brighton Pavilions to everyone wanting to stay in Brighton. Forget the Travel Inns forever; this was LUXURY at its best! Thank you for a special weekend.

Getaway”
Have previously been to pavilions as a couple and had loved it. Now with a young baby in tow thought that as we were visiting Brighton we would try it again.
We decided to treat ourselves to the Royal Pavilion themed room which was extremely elegant, and also large enough for our travelling cot. It also had fabulous spring flowers in the room, which was a nice touch.
The staff were very efficient, courteous and extremely helpful and nothing was to much trouble.
On the last day of our stay, after checkout, they stored our luggage and allowed us the the remainder of the day to explore a bit more of Brighton.
Thought that when we stayed first time that it would be difficult to top the service we received, but this wonderful hotel continues to surprise.

What
can I say. I booked this
little gem on the strength
of the reviews given on Trip
Advisor. My husband & I were
not disappointed. We spent
three nights in the Garbo
Pavilion. Compact,
beautifully decorated and
spotlessly clean. The
owners, Ken & Phil, were
helpful, courteous and
always had time for a chat.
We were very tempted to stay
for an extra night on the
pretence that we had been
snowed in (we were there the
weekend of the heavy snow).
I was also very kindly shown
the other rooms, all of
which were decorated to the
same high standard as the
Garbo. The photographs on
the website really don't do
them justice. Breakfast was
wonderful and set us up for
the day. The location is
easily accessible to town,
but far enough away that you
are not disturbed at night.
The seafront is just a
couple of minutes away.
Would I recommend this
hotel, absolutely.

“Luxury
at its very best”

My partner and I stayed in the gorgeous,
classic 'Greta Garbo' Suite for 2 nights to celebrate The New
Year in Brighton.
We had previously, the night before, experienced an awful B&B
and was thankfully rescued by the lovely owners of this hotel.
We were kindly reassured and had our confidence reinstalled that
we had made the right decision to visit Brighton, greeting us
with such warmth and genuine concerns for our well-being. The
room was classy, immaculate and very modern, in keeping with the
style of mid 1900's. The service was second to none, they cater
for your every whim, if its the little things that matter to you
this is certainly a place I recommend. Not only do they give you
a luxury room, with a power shower, several thick crisp white
towels, 'little' extras in the bathroom such as soap, shampoo
etc. but also a mini-fridge with complimentory goodies. The
breakfast service is 'waited on' with a choice of hot meals, I
had scrambled eggs on Toast which is a lovely change from the
mandatory full english you usually are only offered - which is
also on the menu, along with many other alternatives, as well as
the usual cereals, fruit and yoghurt. The general attitude of
this Hotel is one of pleasing and accomodating, I really have to
thank the owners for firstly all the support they offered us
during our stay, but also as guests for the fantastic second to
none accomodation and service you provide. Fantastic...Thank You.

“Just
what we needed”

We
stayed in the Royal
Pavilions room the night
before and after our Civil
Ceremony. It was a big day
for us and the staff made us
feel very welcome and
relaxed. The room was a good
size and furnished to a high
quality, with plenty of
storage space. It's the
little things that make a
big difference such as a hot
powerful shower at any time
of the day, fresh cut
flowers in the room,
complimentary fridge drinks
and snacks and a good
breakfast.
The whole hotel was very
clean and welcoming, we
would recommend this hotel
for anyone considering a
stay in Brighton.

“Excellent
Accommodation!!”

After searching
for accommodation in Brighton, but being disappointed with some
of the reviews, I came across this hotel where everyone only had
good things to say. And we were not disappointed!
We arrived about 11.15am and went straight to collect our
parking voucher and intended to check in later, however we were
pleasantly surprised that we were able to book in straight away.
We received a wonderfully warm welcome and were delighted with
our room (The Camelot Suite). Although it was small it was
tastefully decorated and was spotlessly clean as was the
en-suite. The bed was very comfortable and we had
tea/coffee/biscuits, chocolate, cold drinks - all complimentary.
Another surprise was that the pillows were so comfortable, which
is a rare event even in a top class hotel.
We found that although it was only a short walk to the shops and
lanes of Brighton, we were in a quiet location.
Breakfast was delicious - fresh juices, cereals, cooked
breakfast of eggs, bacon, sausage, beans and has browns. Toast
with jams and tea or coffee. Delicious!!
I could not fault this place at all and have no hesitation in
recommending it as an affordable, friendly, comfortable hotel.
We will definitely stay there again.

“A
taste of luxury”

Three friends
and I stayed at the Pavilion Hotel on 1st of November. We
arrived in the middle of a downpour and were greeted by Phil who
immediately gave us a very warm welcome.
We had booked the Family room at the top of the Hotel and were
very impressed with the decor and luxurious detail even in the
hallway. Our room was beautifully decorated and comfortable with
personal touches such as complimentary chocolates and drinks.
We had a very enjoyable evening and ended our visit the next
morning with a lovely cooked breakfast. Nothing was too much
trouble and we cannot wait to visit again.

“a
perfect dream of a hotel and more than friendly operators”

Brighton
Pavillions Hotel is not just a hotel! I had a wonderful week in
this friendly, warmly and art decorated guesthouse! The amazing
attitude to the sea, gives this hotel a more specific
atmosphere! Very interesting are the "theme rooms", which are
very inimitable... A great commendation to the friendly
operators and thanks for an unforgettable week in Brighton!

“Nice
but some niggles”

We
booked for a weekend stay due to the rave reviews on this site.
Yes it is quite a nice hotel. Good points are closeness to the
Seafront....interior furnishings and clever use of the space
available. We were in the Royal Pavillion which I think is one
of the two larger rooms. Do not be fooled into thinking this
means that it is big compared to larger hotels. In fact the room
is quite small with very little storage space....it certainly
would be difficult to spend a week in it. The bathroom is shower
only and very small.
The hotel directory states that there 'should' be plenty of hot
water'providing everyone does not shower at the same time'
reading this made me a little worried as most weekenders go out
and get up at similar times. My fears were proved to be
justified with a cold shower at 7pm and another in the morning.
I think a new water heating system needs to be considered.

Management Response by
Ken Clarke, co-owner
We take issue with the facts of this review.
We take exception to the
suggestion that we might
‘fool’ people into
thinking rooms are
bigger than they are and
if these guests thought
to stay in a ‘room that
is big compared to
larger hotels’ then they
are ignorant as to the
nature of a Regency
townhouse and were
deluding themselves. We
don’t make false claims
or promises about room
sizes and actually
publish each room’s area
on our website (from
where these guests made
their booking online).
It really is hard to be
fairer than that.
With regard lack of
storage, the comments
are baffling. In Royal
Pavilion there is a
large one and a half
metre (60ins) wide
dressing table with SIX
18cm (7ins) deep, 40cm
(16ins) wide drawers
plus a one metre (40ins)
wide wardrobe (with
SIXTEEN coat hangers) on
top of ONE 15cm
(6ins)deep FULL WIDTH
drawer and TWO 15cm
(6ins) deep half width
drawers – I don’t
remember these guest
bringing enough luggage
to fill nine drawers and
sixteen coat hangers!!
The en-suite shower room
(again, we don’t
advertise bathrooms!)
built within the
confines of the whole
room must naturally be
compact. But it is
architect designed, has
a powerful shower,
toilet, washbasin, large
illuminated mirror,
excellent lighting and
more shelf space than
you find in many a
larger hotel.
Our hot water system,
upgraded only a few
years ago, has two large
pressurised hot water
cylinders capable of
supplying hot water for
18 showers in any half
hour period.
Unfortunately on the few
occasions when all
guests shower
simultaneously then the
hot water can run cool –
but the gas-fired system
recovers it’s design
temperature (45 – 50 deg
C) very quickly, usually
within 15 minutes, and
is not normally an
inconvenience. If we are
made aware of the water
temperature dropping
then we are even able to
boost the recovery time.
Our Room Guide actually
states the following ~
......“All showers are
connected to mains cold
water and high pressure
hot water. They operate
best when water is run
fast and may run cold if
the shower is run too
slowly.
Hot water has to travel
from the ground floor
boiler room so please
allow time for it to
reach you.
Unless all hotel guests
showers simultaneously,
there is ample very hot
water at all times.
Should the hot water run
out, please be patient
and alert Reception.
Full recovery time for
the hot water system is
normally only fifteen to
twenty minutes ”......
There are phones in all
rooms and the Room Guide
also provides extension
numbers for Reception,
Kitchen and Out of Hours
so, with owners living
on the premises, someone
is contactable 24/7. At
no time did these guests
alert us about lack of
hot water. No other
guests commented on the
hot water that weekend
and we did not notice
any problems on the
system controls, which
leads us to believe that
these guests may not
have been using the
shower controls
correctly. A new water
heating system is
certainly not required
but unfortunately some
guests sometimes need a
little more common sense.

“stay
there!”

My partner and i stayed
mid week in september. We stayed in the titanic room - everything about
the room has been carefully thought through even to the point of the
clock on the fire place i wont spoil it for you giving too much detail!
the whole room has been tailored to what a room would have been like on
board the famous ship -what a fantastic and novel idea!
The owners can't do enough to help and are so friendly. We have stayed in several of the large chain hotels on the beach front
over the last few years and the service was often impersonal and rushed
to them you are just another customer but at the pavillions the owners
generally take an interest in your plans and the information sheets in
the rooms have some wonderful restaurant suggestions which we tried and
enjoyed!
if you want to use a health club and are but off staying here because
the big chain hotels have a pool etc.... then enquire to those hotels
for a day pass we enjoyed an afternoon at the lanes health club nearby
and then headed back to this fabulous hotel and our titanic room!
I have no idea what the mattress is in the room but all i can say is i
had the best nights sleep in weeks! it was soft but not too soft and the
linen was i assume high quality - it was great!
it takes about 15 minutes to walk to the main town and that's with high
heels so in trainers you could get there faster!enjoy!

“Perfect
small hotel”

Self & wife stayed for
3 nights at this hotel & could not find any faults. Stayed in camelot
room which was cleaned thoroughly each day with modern en suite, there
is also a mini fridge in the bedroom.Video of each room is available on
their webpage which is very informative. Dining room very modern with breakfast being excellent. Hotel is in perfect location just off seafront so away from
hustle/bustle of town centre but only 10 mins walk to town centre and 1
min walk to seafront promenade Cost was much lower than the large seafront hotels & having stayed in
the awful best western approx 4 years ago there is no comparison. Can certainly recommend the brighton pavilions

“THE
BEST !!!”

What can we say ? We've
been there four times and will come back as soon as possible.
We always book the Royal Pavilion room which is absolutely ours ! So
please choose another one when we want to stay there !! :-)
The idea to decorate every room in a theme is really nice. The rooms are
very clean, comfortable and have everything you need.
The hotel and the street is very quiet - perfect place to relax.
The breakfast is fantastic. We always go for the full english breakfast
which is delicious and a good start in the day.
The hotel is in a Controlled Parking Scheme Zone and you can park your
car for 5 GBP the whole day in front of the hotel. So there is
absolutely no trouble with parking.
The beach is a few steps away and you can reach Brighton town in a few
minutes. There are many good restaurants and nice shops.
Phill & Ken are very friendly and very helpful. They make you feel at
home and offer the highest level of service and comfort.
It's the perfect hotel for us and we will recommend it to anyone wanting
to stay in Brighton.
If you stay the same time we do you will even have the best weather...
!!! :-)
WE WILL COME BACK !!

“A
fantastic bank holiday weekend”

I invited my boyfriend
for a romantic weekend away in Brighton since it was our anniversary.
Based on the reviews I found here on tripadvisor.com this seemed like
the kind of hotel I was looking for and I was so happy it turned out to
be true.
We were warmly welcomed by one of the owners which helped us with our
bag to our room. We stayed at the Camelot room which has a very romantic
theme and was very clean and comfortable. The rooms have a fridge with
complimentary chocolates, sodas and water which is lovely to have after
a long journey. The hotel in general is
tastefully decorated and absolutely spotless. It is also conveniently
located for those who don't want to stay in the hustle and bustle of the
centre but it is still only a ten minute walk away or so.
Breakfast was absolutely fantastic, I tried the english breakfast which
I am not actually a big fan of in general - but the one they serve is
delicious! Yum!
What really is the cherry on top though and makes this hotel so great to
stay at is the high standard the owners and staff set to themselves and
the level of service. They were all very friendly and helpful, nothing
is too much trouble and this kind of attitude in service can be a rare
gem to find these days.
Thanks for a wonderful stay, we will be coming again!

“Great
relaxing stay”

We had a very
comfortable stay at the Brighton Pavilions Hotel. The room was
immaculate and the bed extremely comfortable. The en-suite shower room
was also extremely clean and supplied with complimentary toileteries.
The concept of themed rooms works well and gives the hotel a real
ambience. Breakfast was served quickly in a very comfortable dining area
and the food was of a high standard.
The little things that made the stay memorable was that there are two
doors from the stairwell into the room, which makes the room feel more
private. Whenever we required anything, or had any questions, the staff
were extremely friendly and never made us feel that they were
inconvenienced.
Complementary refreshments and chocolate (mmm, yum) were provided and
replenished daily in the small fridge and the facility to borrow a DVD
and watch it in the comfort of your own room, or watch Freeview TV,
meant that even if you didn't want to go out, you could entertain
yourself.
The owners are extremely friendly and evidently take great pride in
their business. A remarkably enjoyable stay at an affordable cost. We
highly recommend!

“Great
hotel for family”

Had a lovely
weekend with my husband and daughter
staying in the family suite. We were
very surprised by the size of the
rooms - a very large double and a
single all joined at the top of the
house. Our daughter (4 years old)
didn't want to see much of Brighton
- wanted to go back to her own room,
with her own tv and her own fridge
with complimentary soft drink and
chocolate bars! The weather was
pretty awful on the Saturday so
actually did end up spending time
back at the hotel but there was so
much space it wasn't a problem. The
breakfasts on both days were
wonderful - left no space for lunch!
We left the car parked all weekend
(buying parking permits in advance)
and walked into the centre either
through Kemp Town or along the coast
road - it did only take about 20
minutes and that was with a four
year old in tow. We would definitely
use this hotel again if we were to
come back to Brighton and would
recommend it to others. Five Stars!

“fantastic
stay”

From the moment we stepped into the hotel I knew
we were going to have a great time. We were made to feel very welcome by
the owner. I was a bit worried about the parking so I purchased a
parking permit beforehand and managed to find a space just up the road.
Our room (The Titanic Pavillions) was superb - this room is probably the
cleanest room I have ever stayed in. We had a good nights sleep in a
very comfortable bed and we were brought our breakfasts up on a tray the
next morning which was a real treat and quite delicious. We had a great
stay in Brighton celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary we managed to
fit quite a lot in - we ate fish and chips on the beach, went to two
clubs, went to several great bars, shopped till we dropped, visited the
Brighton Pavillion which was absolutely amazing and still had time to
have an afternoon nap in our comfy bed. The only thing I can think to
complain about was that the weather was crap but what can you expect
this is England after all.

“A
hidden gem amongst the most
ordinary!”

This is our sixth year staying at this delightful
hotel. With two children in tow many a hotel can be brusque to the point
of rude. But Ken and Phil make the whole stay highly enjoyable with a
friendly 'can do' attitude (sadly lacking in todays world). The themed
rooms (of which we have sampled most!) are of the highest standards of
presentation and cleanliness, and the hotel is situated within striking
distance of the marina and the Pavillion. I would recommend this hotel
to any discerning traveller who enjoys feeling rested and looked after.

“Brightons
Little Gem”

This is the 6th time that I have stayed at the
Brighton Pavilions Hotel and wild horses wouldn't get me to stay
anywhere else when I'm visiting Brighton. Ken and Phil are the perfect
hosts and nothing is too much trouble for them to help make each guests
stay perfect. Even if I'm only lucky enough to have had a couple of
nights away it always feels like I've had a complete break away from the
everyday stress of work. The bedrooms are beautifully decorated and a
feeling of relaxation is evident as soon as you walk into the rooms. The
dining room is a quiet place in which to enjoy a delicious breakfast -
once you've made up your mind what to have from the great choice of
menu. My 7th visit is already booked for 2009 and I'm looking forward to
it already. I've found a little gem of a hotel and would have no hesitation in
recommending it to anyone taking a holiday in Brighton. 15 Jul

“Best
Place in Brighton”

Well what can you say, The Brighton Pavilions was
one of the most beautiful, comfortable B&B's that I have ever stayed at.
The themed decor in every one of the rooms was simply fantastic, it made
you feel like you were part of it. The proprietors Phil and Ken could
not have been any nicer, they were very helpful and friendly and did not
know what to do for you, they made my stay there very special. The
location is also fantastic close to everything only a short walk away.
Once in a long while you hit upon a hidden treasure, The Brighton
Pavilions is just that.
I would recommend the Brighton Pavilions highly.

Our expectations were
blown away by this beautiful B&B, the rooms are decorated in a theme
that makes one feel special. The rooms are spacious and very clean, the service was fantastic and the
two proprietors could not be more helpful and warm. Breakfasts were
great with a large variety of choices. The location could not be any
better only steps away from the ocean and a few minutes walk to the
Brighton Pier, shopping and all the sights in Brighton.. We will
definitely be back, I would recommend the Brighton Pavilions to everyone

“An
adorably elegant Hotel”
 This was our
first time staying at this Hotel. We
were intrigued by the themed rooms
and decided to try the Garbo room.
It was adorable. The proprietors
were very welcoming and helpful. We
found the service at breakfast and
the food to be of a very high
standard. This is a pleasant and
well presented Hotel that is very
different to anywhere we have stayed
before. We highly recommend that you

“Work your
way through all the themed
rooms”
I like this
hotel so much I've now been there
four times, and it's good every
time. The rooms are physically quite
small but you feel as if you have
lots of space because they've been
designed and decorated so well. This
last visit, we tried out the Mikado
room; but we've had good times in
the Garbo room (dressed in thirties
clothes) and the Camelot room
(dressed romantically), the Pompeii
room (we didn't try dressing like
Romans... it was winter). The owners
never bat an eyelid and service is
always impeccable. A fantastic place
for a dirty weekend, a romantic
break, or just somewhere near the
beach if you want a few days in the
sun. And Brighton's lovely. If
you are planning a visit, stay at the Pavilions
10 Jun 2008 ~ “Beautiful hotel” Have just spent two nights in this beautiful hotel with family and could not recommend it more highly. Stayed in the Royal Pavilion room and the attention to detail and hospitality in general is outstanding. Will recommend to other friends and return again on our next visit to Brighton. Thank you so much!
27 May 2008 ~ “Warm and welcoming”
Had a most enjoyable stay at the Pavilions thought it was excellent value for money .Everyone was very friendly and helpful. the rooms were small but immaculately clean and had everything that we required. No toilet but that was a minor "inconvenience" and I booked the rooms in advance knowing that it was a shared loo. The breakfast was most enjoyable and loved the little patio at the back .Would have no hesitation in returning.
4 May 2008 ~ “At last I've hit the jackpot!”
After years of trawling through the internet trying to find a decent b&b in Brighton, I have finally cracked it. Our hosts Ken and Phil gave us a warm welcome and showed us to our beautiful room overlooking a delightful garden area. The themed rooms add a sense of fun to your stay and are not tacky and cheap like some of the other themed hotels in this area. Brighton Pavilions is a real treasure tucked away in Charlotte Street, Kemptown and only a 5 minute walk from the shops and restaurants of St James Street and Kemptown Village. A delicious breakfast prepared by our hosts worked a treat for our mild hangovers followed by a morning stroll along the seafront. I highly recommend this hotel for your next seaside retreat. You most certainly will not be disappointed.
3 May 2008 ~ “Immaculate”
I was persuaded by reading trip advisor reviews to try this hotel. I had planned to stay at one of the 5 star establishments in Brighton but poor reviews indicating 'chain fatigue' prompted me to try a boutique hotel and I was not disappointed. I first stayed in a one bed room (the Monaco) which had everything I needed (apart from a loo) then upgraded to the Pavilion two-night special with all the trimmings (and my own loo - what joy). Everything was clean and tidy and the breakfast was superb. The staff were very friendly and helpful and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel. The only reason it doesn't achieve a five star rating is that it is a bit pricey. Note too that there is no lift and so if you're not too good with stairs you may want to request a room nearer the ground floor.
21 Mar 2008 ~ “Charming”
My boyfriend and I stayed for one night April 2007 and had a truly lovely time. The owners were very friendly and accommodating, (despite us turning up quite late) and rooms were clean, charming and cosy. Easy stroll or cab ride from the centre and I would certainly recommend it to anyone spending time in Brighton.
31 Oct 2007 ~ “Fab hotel”
Stayed here in the Mikado room for a weekend in October for a show and I was a bit wary of booking a small hotel as I usually prefer larger chains but this was fantastic. The room was clean and tidy, with everything you'd need. The owners and staff here are very helpful and really made the effort with guests. Rooms are a little on the small side but we didn't need a large room since we were literally just sleeping there and leaving in the mornings to go out. Central but off the main road so it was nice and quiet and the fridge is a great idea in the rooms. Breakfast was well cooked and plenty of choice for even the fussiest of eaters. I'd definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Brighton. |
