8 May 2012 ~ “Absolutely delightful !”  5 of 5 stars

" Brighton Pavilions " is such a great address that a part of me wants to keep it secretly and only to myself. But then, selfishness is a sin and it wouldn't be fair to the owners, Ken and Phill, who expertly run and manage this excellent hotel.
From the moment you step inside, you feel at home. The house is beautifully decorated and spotless clean. The weather was cold and windy but when I entered my room, I felt so cosy.
As it was my first trip to Brighton, Ken kindly showed me on a map all the interesting spots to visit. He informed me about everything concerning the hotel. He was welcoming and friendly.
I had all I needed in the room: a comfortable bed, TV with DVD player, hair dryer, telephone and lots of complimentay extras.
The morning after, a delicious smell of toast led me to the breakfast room. The waiter was attentive, checking if I wanted anything else but frankly, I couldn't ask for more.
Well rested and well fed, I started my visit of Brighton. As I came back, Phill was at the reception. It was lovely to chat with him. He is such a charming man.
It was a great weekend ! Staying at " Brighton Pavilions " will certainly be one of the good reasons for me to visit Brighton again.

8 May 2012 ~ “Wonderful weekend”  5 of 5 stars

My parnter and I have just returned from a three night stay at Brighton Pavillions and we thouroughly enjoyed our stay. The room although small was very adequate for our needs and was beautifully decorated, alot of work and thought has gone in to the decoration here.
The bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in, this did make it slightly hard to get up in the morning, but the aroma of breakfast cooking won in the end!!
Nice little touches such as chocolate and soft drinks in the fridge added that little bit of extra specialness.
The location was good only a couple of minutes away from the sea and away from the hustle and bustle of town, but close enough to walk to and from (or a short taxi ride, but was quicker to walk rather than sit in traffic!).
The bad part - finiding a parking space, but this is no reflection on the B&B this is just Brighton as a whole, we found a space after 15 minutes and then did not move the car again until it was time to go home!!

Overall summary - Clean, friendly, comfortable attractive accomadation with a great breakfast (when Spainish student can understand, but at the end of the day he is learning the language and he is doing a far better job then I would do in his Country!)

I would definetly return here and recommend to anyone looking to stay in Bright
on.

2 May 2012 ~ “Home from Home”  5 of 5 stars

A weekend away staying at the Brighton Pavilions for my husband and I. We had a great time. Your hosts Ken & Phill are very experienced in this business & are very friendly & helpful, but not intrusive. The house is tastefully themed and you will feel relaxed and very at home. We had the best couple of nights sleep we've had for a long time, probably a combination of the sea air and extremely comfy bed. We would have no hesitation in recommending this B&B to anyone.

25 Apr 2012 ~ “A Gem”  5 of 5 stars

My husband and I stayed at the brighton pavillions in the beautiful Titanic Room as surprise treat for his birthday, despite the terrible weather we had a fantastic time. The house is beautifully done, with, evey little extra you could need supplied by thoughtful owners Ken and phil ,we got so warm and cosy that we stayed in and enjoyed a few glasses of wine and the chocs that were given as a present -perfect stay thank you!

22 Apr 2012 ~ “A lovely weekend”  5 of 5 stars

I stayed with my sister, as we were dropping my daughter off at Uni. We had a lovely time. Ken and phil were fab! Very attentive, welcoming and knowledgable about the area. The rooms were well laid out, clean, and fresh.

I would no hesitation recommending this B&B to anyone who wants a relaxed atmosphere, beautiful rooms and hosts that know what they are doing.

17 Apr 2012 ~ “What a great start to the Brighton Marathon!”  5 of 5 stars

My boyfriend and I booked the Brighton Pavilions because we read so many great reviews on TripAdvisor which we felt we could trust.
Ken and Phil gave us such a warm welcome and took such great care of us! As I was running the Brighton Marathon they took care of special requirements, such as boking a cab for us and organising an early breakfast which they went to great lengths to ensure I was on top form by buying porridge for me..which I am sure was the reason for my great performance!
The room was lovely and clean, and although we couldn't choose our room (as it was all fully booked) we were very happy with the choice. There was always hot water and have absolutely no complaints (apart from putting us on the top floor so I couldn't walk down the stairs the day after the marathon) :P
We intend to stay here again on our next trip to Brighton and we look forward to trying out all the themed rooms at the Brighton Pavilions :)

13 Apr 2012 ~ “Perfect mid-week stay”  5 of 5 stars

I had booked this hotel for myself and my boyfriend as his birthday present. It took me many 'internet visits' to decide on this B&B and we are both really glad I picked this one. We had a lovely warm welcome from the owners, who genuinely made us feel at home straight away.

We stayed in the Titanic suite which was perfect. It was warm, clean, very comfortable, beautifully decorated, light, had sea view, tv with dvd player, bath robes, complimentary bottled water, lovely shower room... shall I keep going?

This was in a perfect location - very close to the beach, and only a short stroll from the shops and many pubs and restaurants.

We had never stayed in Brighton before, but absolutely loved it and when we go back we will certainly be booking up for this lovely B&B again.

Many thanks to Ken and Phill x

26 Mar 2012 ~ “The perfect place to stay!”  5 of 5 stars

I booked this hotel as a birthday surprise for my husband after reading the many positive reviews on Trip Advisor and we were not disappointed. This lovely hotel is full of character, well kept, immaculately clean and beautifully decorated. I booked a mid-week “Luxury Celebration Offer” which was fantastic. We stayed in the Titanic Room which was completely perfect, elegantly decorated and had a really comfortable four poster bed. In fact we found the bed so comfortable, we asked the owners where they had bought the mattress, as we were so impressed with it we are seriously thinking of buying one. It was such a treat to be able to wake up in the morning, put on the bathrobes provided, phone down for breakfast and within around 10 minutes be eating breakfast in the privacy of our room. Brilliant! The owners are so welcoming, friendly and helpful. I had mentioned in my booking that the trip was for my husband’s birthday, and when we arrived, there was a box of chocolates and a birthday card for him in the room. It is nice little touches like this that make this special hotel even more special! The only thing I was disappointed about was that we were only there for two nights – we could have quite happily stayed a lot longer!

20 Mar 2012 ~ “Top Quality B&B”  5 of 5 stars

We stayed 3 nights in this comfortable and very friendly B&B. Very clean and well kept and we were made to feel at home from the moment we arrived. Location is ideal on a quiet street yet only a few minutes walk from the centre. Excellent value, happy to recommend and would use it again without hesitation.

8 Mar 2012 ~ “Best Breakfast in Brighton”  5 of 5 stars

I have stayed at this B&B before but this trip was a girls shopping trip for six days in Brighton. Can΄t recommend this B&B enough, we we warm, comfortable and cosy. Spolit rotten with pots of lovely Earl Grey tea and excellent breakfasts, my daughter adored the cheese on toast! Excellent location as you are within walking distance of the town, but away from the marauding night time crowds. We slept perfectly well in the Titanic room and were not disturbed once! Hopefully can visit again soon! Excellent WFI and watched the occasional dvd from the selection available on a couple of nights in! Perfect.

5 Mar 2012 ~ “Loved staying here.”  5 of 5 stars

I would recommend Brighton Pavilions to anyone and I'm hoping to stay again with the rest of my family later in the year. I made this trip on my own, which can be a little daunting but you get such a warm welcome I felt at home straight away. Everywhere was spotlessly clean with a flamboyant style that makes your stay feel fun and special. The breakfast room is lovely with good food served on hot plates. Nothing seems too much trouble,up to date maps and leaflets were provided in my room and there's even complimentary treats in the fridge. It's a great location with the seafront at one end of the road and a short walk from the top of the road to the Laines etc. Lots of restaurants, bars and shops minutes away in Kemptown. Excellent.

26 Feb 2012 ~ “Pleasant stay, excellent breakfast, very nice folks.”  4 of 5 stars

I stayed in this location for a few days with my two teens while we were visiting several locations in Britain. Our room was lovely (small, but lovely) and breakfast was excellent. The folks who own/work here were lovely and I felt as though we were staying with friends. The location was good (close walking distance to everywhere we needed to go. I would stay again (though my only bit of constructive criticism: it was a bit pricey for the size of the room and amenities).

27 Feb 2012 ~ Management Response by Ken Clarke, co-owner

Thank you for your review, we are glad you enjoyed your stay with us. We understand that coming from Canada our Regency Townhouse rooms must seem on the small size to you. However the Family Suite of rooms you booked take up more than half the top floor and are nearly 30 square metres (300 sq ft) in area, so not that small. Perhaps if you'd chosen to spread yourselves over this and another room at a small extra cost instead of all bundling into the Family Suite then you would have been more comfortable with the space?

I am very sorry that you thought we were 'pricey' for the size and amenities. It's over 6 months since your stay so perhaps it has escaped your memory that your two 'teens' were only charged at the under 12's rate of £25 per night? The total for four of you averaged £38 per person per night which, given Brighton 4 star B&B rates in mid Summer, was actually a bit of a bargain! Again I'm not sure what more amenities can be expected from a B&B - this suite of two rooms is ensuite, has 2 flat screen digital TV's with DVD players, 2 mini fridges, complimentary water, soft drinks and chocolate bars, direct dial phone with free local calls, hospitality tray with tea, coffee, herbal teas, hot chocolate and biscuits plus a lovely oblique sea view.

22 Feb 2012 ~ “Stylish and comfortable with warm, welcoming hosts.”  5 of 5 stars

Brighton Pavilions provides exceptionally stylish accommodation. An extremely comfortable bed. Quiet, yet extremely convenient location (just a short walk from both the town centre and the sea front). The hosts were warm and welcoming. Because I was having to leave early on a Sunday morning, they provided me with an excellent continental breakfast, left in the mini-fridge in the room. Also, guests have free access to the hosts' DVD library + there is a flat screen TV, with DVD player in the bedroom, which helped while away the evening.
Can't think of anything to fault - so ten out of ten and would recommend Brighton Pavilions without reservation.

19 Feb 2012 ~ “A perfect stay - We can't recommend it highly enough”  5 of 5 stars

From the moment we arrived at Brighton Pavillions we felt very welcome. All of the staff we met were just so helpful and friendly. We were welcomed to the property by Mark - who was very welcoming. We were shown to our room by one of the owners, Ken, who explained everything we needed to know about our stay. We were provided with a map of the area and were given recommendations of things to do during our stay. The owners have a DVD library for guests to borrow and watch. The trip was part of my birthday celebrations and I was delighted to find a birthday card and box of chocolates from Ken and Phill- a truly lovely touch. The room (Titanic- room 9) was absolutely fabulous- luxurious and spotlessly clean. There were complimentary robes and the fridge contained , water, cans of cola and chocolate bars as well as fruit juice, milk and yoghurts. A really indulgent touch was the room service breakfast- delivered freshly cooked straight to your room- wonderful! The owners recomended several restaurants - we would HIGHLY recommend the Thai Restaurant -( name forgotten but 1st on the list) brilliant food and fantastic service. You can arrange residents parking permits for £5.50 per night - MUCH cheaper than local car parks. All in all we have to say this was one of the nicest places we have ever stayed (and we are well travelled!). Great hosts, gorgeous room, fabulous attention to detail and so welcoming. Even though we only stayed 2 nights it felt like we had been away for longer! We just need to find a reason to re visit..

19 Feb 2012 ~ “Loving the Mirrors Throughout The Room”  5 of 5 stars

Spent last night in the "Pompeii" room, themed roman style!

Found the room and hotel to be exceptionally clean and the hosts were warm & welcoming. The fridge contained complimentary water, soft drink & chocolates.... Plus we could leave our luggage safety at the hotel for the day after checking out.

Comfy bed, great full breaky and a private courtyard in case you feel the need to kick back with a cigar at the end of your evening...

17 Feb 2012 ~ “A wonderful stay with charming hosts and suitably extravagant style”  5 of 5 stars

A wonderful location and an amazing room. We chose the Royal Pavilion and were not disappointed. It was fantastic! Our hosts were extremely accommodating with lots of complementary additions. The breakfast served in our room was superb. We cannot recommend this highly enough!

14 Feb 2012 ~ “Amazing Care”  5 of 5 stars

I came here with my parents to get away from the house for a while. The owners were extremely nice and the room was perfect! I found out that one of them was interested in the Titanic and he was nice enough to lend me some books during the stay. The room was very clean and the food was great! I did not see any children activity but that did not bother me at all as the hotel had a great internet connection and good TV satellite. Hope to come here again soon!

31 Jan 2012 ~ “Lovely Stay in Brighton Pavillions!”  5 of 5 stars

My partner and I have just returned from a stay in this beautifully presented b&b. The property is down a quiet side street off the seafront, so it is very central. The member of staff that greeted us and also cooked our breakfast was lovely. He made us feel very welcome. The room was divine. Wonderfully decorated, with a tv and dvd player, fridge with complimentary water, diet coke and chocolate. The real clincher was the bed. We stayed in the royal pavillion room, which has a four poster, and it must be the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in! Yay to memory foam! If you want a quiet stay in a classy, friendly b&b then stay here.

21 Dec 2011 ~ “lovely place to stay”  5 of 5 stars

a very sweet place to stay. nicely decorated, friendly service and great breakfast. would definately recommend.

18 Dec 2011 ~ “Highly recommended”  5 of 5 stars

We found Brighton Pavilions through Tripadvisor and would have no hesitations recommending it. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the owners were incredibly friendly and helpful. We hope to be back soon.

18 Dec 2011 ~ “Great Stay in a Very Friendly Hotel”  5 of 5 stars

We stayed in Brighton at the Brighton Pavilions for two nights as we were watching Aloe Blacc at the Brighton Dome. The Pavilions is a small but friendly hotel. It's very neat and tidy and lavishly decorated by its friendly hosts who want to ensure you have a great stay.

Some reviews mention the parking, but to be fair even the big mainstream hotels in Brighton have parking issues. Basically, it's a popular town with narrow streets and so parking is an issue. But the hosts make it as easy as possible. You pull up outside the hotel on the double yellow lines and the host comes to the pavement to greet you. He sticks a sign on your windscreen saying you're a guest checking in and five minutes later you're off searching for a parking space equipped with a map given to you by the hotel with the best places clearly marked. I found a space two streets away and the car was perfectly safe there and it was only a two minute walk away. To be honest, the hotels with car parks crammed cars into tiny spaces and various angles so some were blocked in. Less hassle parking on the street and it seemed OK and relatively safe and secure.

We stayed in the Pompeii room. Each room is beautifully decorated with a different theme. The hosts, according to the information booklet, spent £150,000 renovating the hotel and decorating the rooms. Pompeii was compact and bijou, but fine for a few nights stay. The bed was comfortable and there was a large sash window that could be opened. The room was very quiet and made for a good night's sleep.

The hotel is about a 10-15 minute walk to the main shopping centres and the North Laines area. There are several great pubs and restaurants en route and also a few supermarkets in case you fancy taking a bottle back to your room to watch one of the free DVDs you can borrow.

You're about 100 yards from the sea front which made for some great pre-breakfast walks.

Great weekend and recommended.

8 Dec 2011 ~ “only place to stay in Brighton”  5 of 5 stars

Spend 3 nights here with my girlfriend. Everything about the place was superb. From breakfast, the room, the owners, the service, the area (Kemp Town). I can't praise the place enough!! Its the only place I'll be staying when back in Brighton!
If you book at the Brighton Pavilions you won't be disappointed!!

4 Dec 2011 ~ “Wonderful Service, Unique Rooms, Great Location”  5 of 5 stars

We spent a night in the Mikado room, which had a Japanese theme. Smaller than some of other themed rooms but perfectly formed and besides, who would want to spend the whole day in the room with all of Brighton on the doorstep?! The room was very well put together and spotlessly clean. A DVD player was in the room, with a library of DVD's on ground floor. We can't wait to try out the different themed rooms in the future.

Anyway, aside from that we experienced friendly and courteous service. Most importantly it was clear that the owners genuinely wanted to help and make sure we had a great stay. They sorted out the parking permit for us and looked after our bags after we had checked out, so we didn't have to leave them visible in the car. The breakfast was good, with attentive service.

In summary, the place was faultless and is highly recommended.

2 Dec 2011 ~ “Wonderful place and hosts!”  5 of 5 stars

I agree with other reviews - Phill and Ken couldn't be more helpful, friendly and welcoming. The hotel is beautifully decorated throughout and conveniently situated for both the seafront and town centre etc. (We pre booked a parking permit (£5.50 for 24hrs) and luckily bagged a spot on the road outside.) Our room (family) was spacious with two very comfortable twin beds and the complimentary chocolate in the fridge was a real bonus! (We also had the option of fresh milk from the kitchen - another nice touch.) Breakfast in the morning was excellent and set us up for a breezy walk on the beach and a day's shopping! We only stayed one night so didn't take advantage of the extensive DVD collection but this is a great idea. Thanks again Ken + Phill, we look forward to staying with you again.

16 Nov 2011 ~ “Smashing”  5 of 5 stars

I had a few days to myself and I wanted a place near Gatwick airport so I searched the web and Brighton Pavilions kept popping up. It did sound too good to be true but at the price I thought I'd give it a try and everything was provided as promised. On check in I did say that I really just wanted to chill out and relax for my 4 nights and this was truly respected. Brighton itself was not really my cup of tea so I did spend quite a bit of time in my room which was not a unpleasant experience at all. The free wifi was strong and constant and I think it is the first hotel that I've been in that actually has all the freeview channels. The bed was very comfortable with a big continental quilt to snuggle into and there was plenty of complementary tea, coffee etc. to keep me going . I was in the Safari room which was small but I knew that before arriving and I found it had enough space for one person with two suitcases.

Being a smoker there was a small comfy patio area at the back of the hotel where I could puff away with no disturbances. I only made breakfast on one of the mornings which was plentiful and I was also given other breakfast options if I wanted.

I have worked in travel and tourism for over 22 years spending most of this time living in hotels and this is one of the most pleasant, comfortable accommodations I have found myself in. My job also includes accommodation inspections for health & safety, quality, hygiene etc. along with training staff in this area. I was not inspecting the B&B of course but nothing jumped out at me at all, in fact I did not even think about it... Another proof of how chilled out I felt.

As I said Brighton was not for me but I would return just to spent some more time at Brighton Pavilions, well done lads, keep up the good work.

15 Nov 2011 ~ “What can I say?”  5 of 5 stars

When we were asked to go to Brighton for a 40th birthday, I was a little bit apprehensive to stay. I have previously stayed at The Hilton Metropole and have been very disappointed (corrected by a free weekend as an apology). However we bit the bullet and booked Brighton Pavillions-a guest house ! something that had definitely never appealed to me. On arrival we were greeted by Mark, so lovely and friendly, we were given a key, shown to our room and left to settle in. We stayed in the Titanic room which was lovely as was the rest of the building. I am really fussy about dirt- I couldn't find any! absolutely spotless. Everything was presented so nicely with attention to detail. We were left to let ourselves in and out and I felt so at home I even felt the need to take my shoes off as I came in (I do this at home). Breakfast was cooked perfectly by Mark and served by another lovely smiley guy-apologies for not knowing his name. We were advised that should lots of guests shower in a short space of time there may be a short wait for water to reheat, this did happen but there was a large family staying at the time and I got the impression that they jumped in the shower one after the other, water heating was quick and this certainly didn't cause any problem. Parking although we couldn't get directly outside, wasn't bad, we were offered the option of purchasing a permit when booking and we were able to park in the next street, really not far and certainly didn't spoil anything as we were allowed to park outside to unload our luggage. The Brighton Pavillions really restored my faith in staying in Brighton. I thoroughly enjoyed the weekend, the accommodation playing a very large part. We were sold the booking honestly no hidden issues. Would I recommend it ? absolutely. I may even book another short break for Hubby and I very soon. Thanks guys.

15 Nov 2011 ~ “Perfect!”  5 of 5 stars

Really lovely place. Visited as a couple for a weekend away but planning to return to the family suite at some point with our little girl. Really friendly staff, very clean, great breakfast, easy walk to the beach and to town....Perfect

13 Nov 2011 ~ “A perfect night away”  5 of 5 stars

My boyfriend surprised me with a trip to Brighton and what made our trip even more special was the outstanding hospitality by the Brighton Pavilion. A short walk from Brighton Pier and round the corner from fabulous restaurants the location was ideal for a relaxing night away. The room itself (The Titanic Suite) was beautiful, with all the necessaries (fridge with complimentary water and chocolate, TV and Kettle). Although the en-suite was small it was very modern and clean- we also had a sea view from the window!
Would definitely recommend this to anyone we know to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life.

3 Nov 2011 ~ “Absolutely Outstanding - Very Highly Recommended”  5 of 5 stars

I have stopped in many high end hotels throughout the year on business and weekend breaks with my partner and im shocked to say (from first expressions on the internet), Brighton Pavilions offers, the best welcoming and customer services i have ever experienced.

Phil and Ken are highly professional in the way they conduct business and this shows through in everything they do.

Rooms are very clean, fresh and completely dust free. They provide everything you may want or need during your stay and most of all, they make you feel extremely welcome. Nothing is to much hassle. Phil and Ken are the type of people you would want to get to know and have as friends. If i was going to return to Brighton i would most certainly stop here again.

They are a lovely couple and i wish them all the best in the future.

Location - Perfect in everyway. Not to far from the town and not to close. Location is very very good.

DON’T LOOK ANYWHERE ELSE.

28 Oct 2011 ~ “Welcoming, Spotless and first rate service.”  5 of 5 stars

Phil and Ken are very friendly people and can't do enough to help you get settled in comfortably. The room (Garbo room) we stayed in was immaculate and cosy. The breakfast was plentiful, with a wide variety of hot and cold foods. There is also a few shelves of DVDs that you can take to your room to watch for the evening we thought this was a nice touch as we were staying in and haven't seen this before in other B&Bs. The property is located 5 mins from the sea front, you can see the sea as soon as you step out the front door! We were given lots of helpful info about the town, where to eat etc.. The town itself was only a short walk away. We will definitely be staying there next time we're in Brighton and would highly recommend it to others, you won't be disappointed. Ooh almost forgot, free chocolate and coke in the rooms, what more could you want!

27 Oct 2011 ~ “Friendly, Immaculate and Warm”  5 of 5 stars

cannot express how great my experience was at the Brighton Pavilions. The owners Ken and Phil are fantastic people who are extremely warm and helpful. I was moving to the Brighton Area and needed a place to stay whilst I found permanent living arrangements. I was hopping between Inns and Bed and Breakfasts for the first few day until I found the Brighton Pavilions. This was my final landing spot. It is in a great location near all the shops, seaside and the pavilion. The interior was fantastically done with all the themed rooms which were extremely clean and well kept. Furthermore the owners and employees themselves were so patient and warm with me even though I am sure I was a bit frustrating. I kept checking out and checking back in when I had thought I found a permanent residence and then it would fall through. Each time they helped me carry my bags back up stairs and get me settled all over again. All of this with a warm welcome back and a smile on their face. It meant a lot to me as I did not know anyone in this area and felt like I had a few people that would help me out. In addition to this, after moving out, some important mail was sent to them on my behalf and without complaint or fail they forwarded it on to my address. They also made sure to phone me up and let me know what was happening. These owners are willing to go the extra mile not because they are being paid 40 some odd pounds per night but because they are genuinely good people who care about their guests. That alone should be reason enough to want to spend your vacation at the Brighton Pavilions.

10 Oct 2011 ~ “Friendly, clean and well located”  5 of 5 stars

first trip to Brighton for many years. Brighton Pavilions is a lovely small hotel , located in close proximity to the town and beach. Mark made us very welcome. The rooms are lovely, breakfast scrummy and the service and hospitality is great.

Definately recommend to others to use as a base

5 Oct 2011 ~ “The Perfect Place to Experience B&B”  5 of 5 stars

We had two small children and the owner was very welcoming and friendly. Free refreshments on arrival helped with the kids. The rooms were spacious and clean and the residence well decorated. The breakfast was great. The location is ideal. I would really recommend this as the place to stay in Brighton.

29 Sep 2011 ~ “Attention to detail.”  5 of 5 stars

Have just got home and can't wait to review the Brighton Pavillions. This is a truly beautiful building, the decor and attention to detail are mind blowing. We stayed in the Titanic suite, which of course was scrupulously clean. There is so much character to this hotel, you can tell that the proprietors have put a lot of love and hard work into getting it just right. The staff are so friendly and helpful, I really cannot fault this B&B at all. Having stayed at a lot of hotels, I can safely recommend this one if you are looking for something different with lots of character. Will definitely be staying there again; would like to try out another of their "themed" rooms.

28 Sep 2011 ~ “Another lovely relaxing stay.”  5 of 5 stars

Thanks guys for another lovely, relaxing stay. We only get the opportunity to grab a last minute night away every so often so we were so pleased to see one room available for last Saturday night. BP is an oasis of calm in the wonderful chaos that is Brighton. See you again soon. G&G.

27 Sep 2011 ~ “Welcoming and well located”  5 of 5 stars

We had a very comfortable stay here- the bed was great, and the room very clean. The ambience was very relaxed- even though we'd had a stressful time getting to Brighton we soon unwound and found our hosts were very helpful, and made an effort to ensure we had all the information we needed to make the most of our stay. The breakfasts were generous and delicious too- we didn't need lunch on either day of our stay! It is very well located- just a few minutes walk from the pier and pavilion- perfect for a weekend away.

25 Sep 2011 ~ “A fantastic Weekend at Brighton Pavilions”  5 of 5 stars

Everyone at the Hotel were very friendly, helpful and kind, from our first encounter on the phone to book until we left on Monday morning. The room was lovely clean and comfortable and had everything we needed.
The breakfast was very good a great start to the day.
The information pack was useful for us to find somewhere to eat. Our daughter joined us over the weekend as she lives in Brighton and she was made very welcome when she arrived to meet up with us. I would have no hesitation recommending this lovely hotel and we look forward to staying again.

25 Sep 2011 ~ “Perfect Brighton Hotel”  5 of 5 stars

We had a lovely two night stay in this hotel. Its about 10 mins walk into town, so ideally located for beach & restaurants. We stayed in the Japanese room, which is on the top floor (so not ideal if you can't walk up many stairs) but perfect for us. The rooms are compact as it's in an old house, but they've managed to fit in everything you could want and make it a comfortable hotel. Tea & Coffee & complimentary drinks & snacks provided, TV in room, Lovely shower and bathroom. Choice of pillows were provided on request and the owners were very helpful generally. Breakfast was delicious, fab selection of cereals, and fresh English breakfast (or any combination of) was provided.

20 Sep 2011 ~ “Hidden Gem”  5 of 5 stars

We stayed at the Brighton Pavilions for three nights over the August Bank Holiday weekend, 2011.(27th-30th) The hotel is lovely. It is welcoming, clean and beautifully decorated throughout with a keen eye for detail. It smelt clean and fresh as soon as you entered with fresh lilies and we were given a friendly welcome from Ken and Phill who are both professional, fun and extremely helpful.
We stayed in the Pompeii Double which was quite small but perfectly adequate. The bed was very comfortable and there were complimentary soft drinks and snacks in the mini fridge. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners who remained discreet but attentive to our every request. They even provide a selection of free dvds for guests to watch in their rooms. Breakfast was of a very high standard with quality ingredients and charming service. I celebrated my 50th birthday on the Sunday and the owners left a box of Thorntons chocolates and a card on the bed, a very thoughtful gesture.
The Brighton Pavilions is in a perfect position to visit the many wonderful experiences that Brighton has to offer, from shopping, bars and clubs to the historic Brighton Pavilion of George 1V, and the beach is literally at the end of the road.
This hotel was perfect for us and I would recommend it.

19 Sep 2011 ~ “A great place, and we will be coming back”  5 of 5 stars

We stayed hear Sep 11 in the Titanic room for 2 nights. It is a lovely room, beautifully decorated and clean. The owners were really helpfull and friendly, especially as we had never been there before.
Our breakfast was brought to our room each morning, plus there is complementry soft drinks and chocolate in the mini fridge. The shops and night life are all within easy walking distance, but not to close that it keeps you awake. The bed was really comfortable and had soft clean sheets. Over all a great place to stay.
We would definitely stay there again and we would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in Brighton.

19 Sep 2011 ~ “excellent time”  5 of 5 stars

a first rate experience in every way and wonderful to have breakfast in the room

11 Sep 2011 ~ “Brighton Pavilions, the perfect place to stay any time

of the year and best value for wonderful (single) rooms”  5 of 5 stars

I stayed in the single room Monaco Pavilion (wonderful) for two nights on 2nd and 3rd September 2011, I was there for my brother's wedding and was very lucky to have been able to get my room at such short notice. I had previously stayed in the Garbo Pavilion as a couple (wonderful) and in the single Alpine Pavillion (also wonderful!).

I'm a fussy traveller and was concerened I might be bothered about not having a toliet in the single rooms when I first booked into a singleroom. It realy is no problem, there are plenty of toilets in the hotel and a great shower and wash basin in the single rooms and I had no hesitation in booking into a single room again last weekend. I can not think where else you might find such a well designed and comfortable single room in a beautiful hotel in Brighton for £47 per night, even if I could or if there were something cheaper I would choose Brighton Pavilions every time.

I grew up in the west part of Brighton and can recommend Charlotte Street in the east part of Brighton as the perfect area to stay, it's a quiet picturesque street of Regency town houses near enough to the centre of town to walk.

Brighton Pavilions realy is just as described on its web site and more, the building and rooms are of exceptonally high and well designed standards, I would also add that the breakfasts are excellent.

I was busy last weekend so didn't get to spend that much time in the hotel, but it is the sort of place that you'd like to do as I did for part of the time, unpack, put your suitcase away and pretend you live in this amazing Regency house! I'd recommend booking a room in Brighton Pavilions as the perfect place any time of the year, but over the next few months for an autunm or winter break, return to your cozy room after a day out if the hotel wasn't perfect enough there are even DVD machines in the room and DVD library in the Pagoda guest lounge! One last thing to say there's a great little garden at the back of the hotel for guests.

Thank you again Ken and Phill for another great stay in your beautiful hotel.

Best wishes

Tony

5 Sep 2011 ~ “it was lovely, would go back”  4 of 5 stars

We stayed at Brighton Pavillions with our two kids so a party of four for 2 nights and it was lovely. The family suite is a very good size and the litlle room attached was just perfect for my little girl .It situated perfectly so we weren't too worrried about the kids upsetting anyone with the noise anfd we could see a bit of the beach from our window.
The breakfast was delicious and I found the hosts Phil and Ken to be warm and very helpful. They gave us tips on what to do and where to go. The location is also great about 5 minutes walk to the pier. I highly recommend a stay at the Brighton Pavillion, we enjoyed it thoroughly.

5 Sep 2011 ~ “Best hotel in Brighton I have stayed in.”  5 of 5 stars

stayed here with a friend for Brighton Pride, Ken and Phil the owners were lovely, very helpful and made our stay an absolute pleasure, the staff were lovely, a credit to the hotel, we had the room service breakfast, which was perfect, the room was very clean, spacious, serviced every morning, it really was the best hotel in Brighton I have stayed in and now I have found it, wouldn't need to look elsewhere. All I can say is that Ken and Phil have a beautifully decorated, clean hotel, with the added extra benefit of feeling very homely, it was a pleasure to meet them both and a pleasure to stay there.

4 Sep 2011 ~ “Highly Recommended”  5 of 5 stars

We have just spent the weekend at Brighton Pavilions and were very impressed. From the warm welcome from Phil when we arrived to Ken's phone call after we'd left to let me know I'd left my glasses behind, we couldn't fault our stay.

We stayed in the small but perfectly formed Garbo room which had everything you could possibly want - crisp white sheets on a comfortable bed, fluffy soft white towels, quality toiletries, complimentary tea, coffee, hot chocolate, soft drinks, water and chocolate. It also had some wonderful unexpected touches like the beautiful art deco pieces which gave the room real character.

Everything was looked after for us - our parking permits were waiting when we arrived and we were given discount vouchers for the Royal Pavilion when we left. An excellent weekend not least thanks to Phil and Ken's hospitality.

28 Aug 2011 ~ “Outstanding, can't wait to go back!”  5 of 5 stars

My husband and i came down for the bank holiday weekend, a special break for our anniversary. We couldn't have picked a nicer place to stay in. The service was excellent with complimentary breakfast delivered to our room every morning. Fresh flowers in room with a fridge stocked with goodies, all complimentary! The room was spotlessly clean as was the whole hotel. The hosts Ken and Phil at the Brighton Pavillion couldn't have been more hospitable and friendly. Location was perfect, a short walk to the seafront and to the main thoroughfare, yet still remained peaceful. Loved the time we spent in Brighton, we will definately be revisiting, but only if there's a room at the Brighton Pavilion!

28 Aug 2011 ~ “Trip to Brighton with my daughter to visit Sussex University”  5 of 5 stars

My daughter and I stayed at the Brighton Pavilions guest house for one night as we came to Brighton to find student accommodation for my daughter.
The website just doesn't do it justice. From the minute I phoned to book the room I was made to feel welcome and this continued once we arrived. The attention to detail is amazing and all the rooms are themed, from the historical Camelot and Pompeii rooms to the Hollywood themed Art Deco Garbo room. There is a 20's, 30's and 40's general feel about the interiors and the dining room is reminiscent of the Titanic.
The service, cleanliness, comfort and amazing breakfast all made this a fantastic stay. So much so that I will be staying again in a few weeks and may make this a regular stay for when we visit our daughter in Brighton.

28 Aug 2011 ~ “Great Hotel, great location!”  5 of 5 stars

We stayed at Brighton Pavilions for 2 nights/3 days in the top floor family suite. The suite has a single room with a shower, a triple room (one kingsize and one single bed) and shower and a separate WC, all behind its own "front door". The rooms are comfortable and have all the amenities you could want.

Ken, Phill (the owners) and their staff are friendly and helpful. The decor of the common areas is plush and homely - don't miss the art on your way up the stairs (can someone tell me anything about the "Deco" picture of the Dr/Scientist?).

The breakfast room is warm and inviting with a cruise liner feel (Ken and Phil's office contains other memento's of days on the sea) - the breakfasts are "spot on".

The small courtyard garden is a welcome "outdoor room".

As we were told on our arrival, Brighton is a walkable town, and Brighton Pavilions is in the heart of the town, with both attractions and restaurants on the doorstep - it is however quiet at night.

All in all a great base for some time in Brighton!

27 Aug 2011 ~ “What a lovely surprise!”  5 of 5 stars

Everything about the Brighton Pavilions was perfect. Breakfast was freshly cooked with an excellent selection to suit all tastes! Even though the hotel is situated just off the busy sea front, I slept soundly. The themed rooms are beautifully decorated as are the main passageways and quiet seating area overlooking a pretty garden. I will definitely be staying at the Brighton Pavilions on my next visit to Brighton.

25 Aug 2011 ~ “Never ever!” 1 of 5 stars

I stayed here few months ago when I had to attend a conference and when I questioned about the breakfast time, one of the men became very abusive (I was a single woman) and asked me to leave their 'lounge' in a extremely disrespectful manner. I kept telling the man that I was not going to talk to someone who behaves like a child and I had no interest in having an argument with anyone. I was very troubled by their attitude. No doubt, they will respond to this as being an accusation and all the defence which goes along with it. I am a regular traveller and indeed considered very polite as I am in a profession which requires me to be so. I was never ever treated like that in any B&B before. The room I stayed in was soooo tiny where the floor space was enough only for my luggage and had to walk around the luggage. I can see loads of good reviews, so best of luck with it. I might have caught them on a wrong day? Friday night perhaps? Also make sure you don't take a room close to the window on a weekend.

27 Aug 2011 ~ Management Response by Ken Clarke, co-owner

Never Ever?????

Never Ever have we received such a defamatory review ~ We leave the reader to measure the tone of this review against over 200 ‘excellent’ and ‘very good’ reviews (many of these from single ladies) that precede it and draw their own conclusions.

Never Ever has a guest so totally ignored information given on check in ~ She was offered several breakfast options that would allow her to be at her conference in time but later accused us of refusing her breakfast altogether!

Never Ever has a guest marched into our private lounge and spoken to us the way this guest did ~ No guest has the right to be rude and offensive to us or any of our staff.

Never Ever have we had to defend ourselves against an accusation of being abusive ~ We raised voices to get a word in edgeways when she was having no interruption nor listening to what she was being told, but at no time were we abusive.  When we found it impossible to reason with her she was politely but firmly asked to leave our private lounge.  She was also asked if she wanted to check out and not be charged for her room if she was so unhappy, but she declined the offer

Never Ever have we been so upset by such a confrontational guest ~ it may have been the dog end of the week, Friday night to her, but for us it was the start of a busy Bank Holiday Weekend.

Never Ever has anyone phoned down at 9.20pm to ask if anything could be done about the noise in the street because they were tired and wanted to sleep ~ It was pointed out that it was early and people were still going about their everyday activities.  She was advised to close the secondary double glazing that would eliminate the noise, a feature of the room that she seemed to have missed along with the wardrobe and the drawers.

18 Aug 2011 ~ “Beautiful decorated B&B”  5 of 5 stars

Very nice, beautiful decorated B&B. The rooms are even more charming, than they appear on the photographs. Situated in a quiet neighbourhood, you will love this B&B.

The owners are very helpful and provided us with excellent tips for Brighton. In every room there is a TV with DVD player. You can choose your DVD for free out of a well assorted collection in the entrance hall.

18 Aug 2011 ~ “Warm and friendly atmosphere. Could not have been more welcoming!”  5 of 5 stars

We stayed here recently for 2 nights and it was just fantastic. Ken and Phil could not have been more friendly or helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and there were plenty of those extra touches that made our stay really enjoyable. Lovely decorating in the rooms, cold drinks and choccies in the fridge..... Breakfasts were just great. The breakfast room was lovely and Craig serving us brekkie was a really cheerful way to start our day. These guys have been running this place for a long time and that is obvious in the care they put into looking after us. Every time we needed to ask a question or get some touring tips, they were close at hand with plenty of help. Wonderful family atmosphere, wonderful location and just so nice to stay somewhere where people really care about their guests.

12 Aug 2011 ~ “Beautiful”  5 of 5 stars

One of the best B&B's I've been to. The hosts are friendly, helpful and make you feel very welcome. My room (the African single-room) was small (as announced), but not too small. Every little detail made sense, so I did not feel like staying in a shoebox. The house is super clean and perfectly decorated. Breakfast was really good and you can have free WiFi.
Walk down the streets for a minute and you're at the beachfront. The city centre is another nice 10 minute walk away.
Highly recommended
!

30 July 2011 ~ “A Real Gem”  5 of 5 stars

I stayed here for one night for a conference in Brighton, and I felt most at home and certainly do wish I could stayed longer!

As I was in my own, I took a single room, fabulously decorated in a jungle/ safari theme. In fact the whole hotel's interior decoration is wonderful!
The owners briefed me on the hotel, the room and the local area. The hotel is almost on the seafront. Despite rumours of troublesome parking in Brighton, the hotel provided me with a permit and I parked little more than 30m from the hotel.

I got a good night's sleep and breakfast was most enjoyable (full English for me). Check-out was hassle-free and I was most grateful to the owners for helping me with my computer/ printer troubles!

This kind of personal and friendly service you just do not get at chain hotels!

Highly recommended!

20 July 2011 ~ “warm and cosy”  5 of 5 stars

Can't fault this hotel in any way , we stopped in the Titanic room , with breakfast served in the room , brilliant , you ring down with your order and within 10 minutes it is delivered to your door .
Complimentary items in the fridge , including soft drinks and chocolate , what more could you want.

19 July 2011 ~ “Fantastic holiday”  5 of 5 stars

This hotel is perfectly located, near the town, very near the beach, but in a quiet location. Ken and Phil did everything possible to make our stay comfortable and happy - advice, recommendations re. restaurants, chocolates for my sister's birthday etc. . The breakfast was delicious, our rooms were spotless and comfortable and all the staff very friendly. We'll definitely be back.

17 July 2011 ~ “Perfect B&B - Friendly and great fun”  5 of 5 stars

The perfect B&B - lovely decor (we had the Pompeii room), comfortable, quiet, good, hearty breakfast. Attention to detail - complimentary water and chocolates in the room, tea and coffee, arranged for parking permit. The owners charming and very welcoming. Have already recommended it to our Facebook friends and will certain consider coming back next time we come down for a respite from London.

10 July 2011 ~ “Impeccable, luxury, great for everyone”  5 of 5 stars

We stayed in the Titanic suite for two nights. We were met by one of the proprietors who was very friendly and helpful, and it seemed that nothing was too much trouble. The hotel overall was lavishly decorated and is obviously a source of great pride to the owners.

Our room was beautiful - the bed was luxury personified, and I've never seen so many cushions and pillows. Wonderfully soft, we slept like logs!

Attention to detail was fantastic, and the room was very well decorated and appointed. There were clean dressing gowns and chocolate and coca cola in the fridge, which were free if you wanted them - a really nice touch.

We also had breakfast bought up to our room, which I don't think is standard, but is certainly worth paying the extra for. We had a lovely cooked breakfast, plus tea, juice and toast, plus cereal if you wanted. Enough to fill up even the most hungry!

Location wise - it is about a ten minute walk to Brighton Pier, so fairly close to the centre, and on a nice day, it's a pleasant walk along the seafront, on a windy day, you can just take the more inland route!!

Overall, one of the best B&B's we've stayed in, and we would definitely come back if we ever revisit Brighton.

7 July 2011 ~ “Nice location just off the seafront & a short walk to city centre”  4 of 5 stars

I booked a double room for single occupancy at £60.00 per night, very happy with my room on the top floor "Mikado" room 10, you could not expect more at this price, the room is clean quiet and well appointed, my hosts Ken & Phil are very helpful and unobtrusive. Overall I'm very happy with my stay here.

6 July 2011 ~ “Amazing”  5 of 5 stars

Such great value. Hosts were so professional. Place was delightful, amazing service and spotless. They even sorted out our parking! Many thanks, hope to visit again sometime.

5 July 2011 ~ “A little gem”  5 of 5 stars

This is a little gem, tucked away within easy walking distance of the sea front and town. The themed rooms are fun - we stayed in the Titanic Suite and felt truly pampered, especially when breakfast was brought up to our room. This was our special weekend away without the kids and the Brighton Pavilions proved to be perfect for us!

5 July 2011 ~ “more than loved it... super, fantastic”  5 of 5 stars

us Faradays have done all the "so called posh" hotels in Brighton, but we would never return to those... now we have found a home away from home, but with 5 star quality such a great hotel. and we will return before the end of season already recommending x shaun and deborah faraday

22 Jun 2011 ~ “Had a really lovely time and will definitely be staying here again”  5 of 5 stars

Complete and utter luxury, really personal service and not a single detail overlooked. The bed was so comfortable it was a real problem getting up in the morning. It was clean, comfortable and had a really lovely ambience.

8 Jun 2011 ~ “Spotless and lovely, everything we could have wanted”  5 of 5 stars

When I made the reservation Ken asked if it was a special occasion, I told him it was an anniversary that's why we had booked the nice Royal room.
We were immediately sent a list of restaurants which was really useful too.
On arrival the Hotel was spotless and Ken was ready and waiting with the parking permits. We were shown to our room which was beautiful, there were fresh flowers and a lovely surprise card and box of chocolates.
We had our breakfast delivered to our room it was fresh and not at all greasy.
we had a great stay and would stay here again.

7 Jun 2011 ~ “Lovely people, great stay”  5 of 5 stars

We just spent the weekend here and had a wonderful stay. From the moment we arrived the owners were extremely helpful, informative on free parking and just lovely genuine people. They even made up a small poster to help advertise some spare theatre tickets we had. Nothing too much trouble for all of the staff even serving us coffee in the pagoda whilst we waited for breakfast as everyone turned up at once! Rooms lovely, clean and with a fridge with free chocolate - what else could you need! Recommend it.

3 Jun 2011 ~ “Saw the reviews and had to try it. So glad we did!!”  5 of 5 stars

Just returned from a one night stay at this lovely hotel. Parked right outside, nipped in to get our parking permit (£5.50 for 24 hours - bargain!). Were taken to our room - we booked the Pompeii - and were absolutely delighted with it. Lovely touches like complimentary water, coke and choc bars in the fridge. Bed was extremely comfy - had a brilliant night's sleep. Very warm and friendly welcome and the service was excellent. Would certainly recommend this place and am sure we will return

2 Jun 2011 ~ “Excellent”  5 of 5 stars

We had a lovely weekend break over the bank holiday weekend, the reviews are certainly what you get, an excellent service, an excellent room and an excellent experience. Ken and Phil are great hosts and certainly know their business. I would not hesitate to stay here again when back in Brighton Many thanks Diana & Pete.

2 Jun 2011 ~ “Immaculate, very friendly and lovely breakfast,

                         definitely recommend this outstanding B & B”  5 of 5 stars

Myself and two friends recently stayed for 3 nights at the Brighton Pavilions B&B. We had a lovely time although ok the weather wasn't great but hey you can't have everything. The owners we very welcoming and helpful and made our stay extremely comfortable and couldn't have done more for us. The breakfast was lovely and the service was excellent and very friendly. The B&B offers many ideas for trips and visits in Brighton and the owners are very helpful if you need any advice or help with reservations.

The B&B has a lovely garden terrace at the back to sit out with a lovely array of flowers. I will say the rooms are rather compact but perfectly formed and you don't or shouldn't be spending too much time in your room when in Brighton....there is so much to do. The B&B was immaculately clean and fresh and I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone visiting Brighton.

There is a great little local pub at the top of the street from the B&B....very oldy worldy but we did meet some great characters and the piano that sits in the corner did get a bit for tinkling. The Brighton Pavilion is an obvious must and we did go to a comedy night in a pub in the town centre which was well worth it. Have fun

1 Jun 2011 ~ “a lovely place to stay!”  5 of 5 stars

I booked this hotel because of the themed bedrooms and I was certainly not disappointed! I stayed in the Safari room, and loved it, great and fun decor, small but perfect for what I needed and expected. Ken and Phil are two excellent hosts, very warm and welcoming and always ready to give additional infos. I particularly appreciated the 'room service', I couldn't have breakfast in the morning because I needed to leave really early, so they left a tray in the fridge for me with everything I needed to have my own breakfast in the room. For most English people having a kettle and tea and coffee in the room would probably be ordinary, but to me as a foreigner it's not, so I was extremely pleased that I could have my cup of tea at anytime. Free WiFi in the room (yay!!!).
it is very conveniently located, very close to the seafront and easy access to the city centre, very clean and quiet at night. Bed was comfy and towels fresh.
Would definitely recommend it and stay here again!

17 May 2011 ~ “Perfect Place for a Weekend Break!”  5 of 5 stars

My husband & I have just returned from a 2 night break at Brighton Pavilions & have to agree with all of the wonderful comments & reviews of this place on Trip Advisor. The hotel was in a great location as it was about a 15 minute stroll into the main part of town / The Lanes, so near enough to walk but far enough away to ensure a good & quiet nights sleep. The room we stayed in was the Titanic & it was great! The bed was very comfortable, the fridge stocked with (free!) chocolate & bottled water and we had a lovely breakfast in our room each morning - a real treat. Ken & Phill were both friendly, helpful & good fun & very kindly posted back all of the stuff that I had left in the room! If you're looking for a good, clean, quiet, perfectly located hotel - this is the one for you! We will definitely be back!

15 May 2011 ~ “A thoroughly enjoyable stay!”  5 of 5 stars

We have just returned from a two night stay at The Brighton Pavilions and we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. The room that we chose was The Royal Pavilion, it was very elegantly furnished and decorated as well as being very comfortable, it was also immaculately clean. There was an eye for details with lots of nice touches, free bottled water, coca cola and chocolate. The ability to have your cooked breakfast delivered to your bedroom was also a nice touch which added to the overall experience. The owners Ken and Phil are great hosts who treated us more as guests in their home rather than just paying customers. All though we needed for nothing during our stay, Ken and Phil gave us the impression that nothing would be too much trouble. Should we stay in Brighton again it's a 'no brainer', we shall definitely be heading straight for the Brighton Pavilions

2 May 2011 ~ “Do what you have to do to stay here!!!”  5 of 5 stars

Ken and Phil, yet another perfect stay this weekend. We look forward to our next visit. We were desperate to get back to Brighton this weekend, and were hoping to stay in one of the Themed rooms. Unfortunately all of the rooms were taken and only the family room was available (our late booking!!!). However, Phil and Ken made the room up for a double and we shouldn't have worried. The Family room is big and just as perfect as every other room in the house. if you are coming to Brighton, forget about any other hotel and just do what you have to do to get here. Short walking distance from everywhere, cheaper parking than the immediate centre, and perfect hospitality!!! Thanks Once again Lee and Jean.

26 Apr 2011 ~ “An amazing experience”  5 of 5 stars

Staying at Brighton Pavilions is truly an amazing experience. Ken and Phil are hard working and imaginative people who know how to take care of their guests. The room are superb, the hospitality trays always full of goodies and the breakfast is beyond delicious. I could never imagine staying any place else when visiting Brighton

24 Apr 2011 ~ “Home from home and they went out of their way to be helpful.”  5 of 5 stars

We knew beforehand that our singles were compact but they had a shower and wash-hand basin, as well as the usual television, radio and telephone. The telephone was free and I even phoned out of the country! The owners and the other staff were warm and friendly and made sure everything went smoothly. Breakfast was a treat in a downstairs room with a patio and was a full English or various combinations - excellent. They also recommended where to eat. Smokers were catered for and could sit outside in a second patio. We would definitely go back, especially when we heard about prices in some other establishments.

22 Apr 2011 ~ “Superb in all aspects”  5 of 5 stars

We can fully agree with the other glowing reviews here. We stayed for five nights in the Royal Pavilion room, which had a great four-poster bed with a very comfortable mattress, which even my husband (known as a "princess and the pea" type) fully enjoyed. Through the bay-view window we could glimpse the sea, just a few steps away. The hotel is very clean and smells so nice too. The owners Ken and Phill are very welcoming and friendly, the vegetarian breakfast served in the room was delicious, the internet connection very fast. Location is perfect - very quiet yet just a few minutes walk from the middle of town.
We would gladly stay again when we return to Brighton.
The online booking was very easy - the hotel's fantastic website provides a plethora of information including many photos, but our Royal Pavilion room was even lovelier than we expected

21 Apr 2011 ~ “A lovely comfortable, friendly hotel.”  5 of 5 stars

We came for a five day conference and it was lovely to come back each day to a crisp clean room and to start each day with a copious breakfast, served by a very amiable young man. A thoroughly lovely place and well worth a visit.

16 Apr 2011 ~ “amazing”  5 of 5 stars

If anyone is looking for somewhere to stay in Brighton, this is where you SHOULD stay, this superior B & B, has everything, a welcome second to none, pristine cleanliness, and rooms where you not only feel at home, but so comfortable. We have stayed in the best hotels all over the world from New York to the very best in the West Indies, and the Brighton Pavillions is top rate. Well done to the owners and staff, to have the opportunity of experiencing your fantastic hospitality is great. We cannot wait to come back and will be back very soon. PS, the breakfasts are great and as with the rest of this establishment 1st rate.

15 Apr 2011 ~ “You won't find a better place to stay in Brighton.....”  5 of 5 stars

Phill and Ken provided us with and excellent 3 night stay in Brighton, which we couldn't fault. They couldn't have been more helpful, from their advice on places to eat to being so helpful when our car wouldn't start! The hotel is in a perfect position, being only a short walk to the end of the road for the sea front, and a pleasant walk to Brighton centre with it's lanes and the Brighton Pavilion.

If we were to visit Brighton on another occasion, we would certainly stay here again. We would recommend it highly

11 Apr 2011 ~ “Lushously designed and staffed with great solicitousness”  5 of 5 stars

So near to the sea front, yet quiet. Easy to reach from station, simple walking distance from the lanes and pavilion. Such incredibly beautiful themed rooms, which is such fun to choose, and every need catered for. Very welcoming and receptive.

11 Apr 2011 ~ “Fantastic stay, very welcoming and relaxing .......”  5 of 5 stars

We stayed for 2 nights, and enjoyed our break very much, hotel is in a perfect location, hosts are welcoming and full of local info.
The hotel and rooms are extremely clean and comfortable and particularly enjoyed the breakfast in bed, would def stay again!

7 Apr 2011 ~ “Delightful bijou B&B in a great location and lovely hosts”  4 of 5 stars

We parked outside, popped in and were greeted by Ken who gave us £5 permit and we parked within 3mins walk. Our room was the Titanic suite, which was lovely with a sea view, very clean and had a four poster bed.
In the room was bath robes, tea coffee and a fridge stocked with water and Oj and yogurts for Breakfast. There was lots of info on Brighton, restaurants etc and our hosts knowledge was very good on the area.
We had a comfortable nights stay and the icing on the cake was Breakfast in our rooms, which was absolutely fab, full english, hot, well cooked with toast and condiments. This was a nice touch and very unusual.
We would highly recommend this B&B for business or leisure, and we would visit again

29 Mar 2011 ~ “The best service I have ever had at a B&B”  5 of 5 stars

I have never written a review of a place I've stayed in my life but I simply felt compelled to with this one...My partner and I stayed in Brighton Pavilions for two nights, we are very glad we did... from the second we arrived we had a feel for the quality of the service when the owner stood in the road blocking traffic to ensure i got a parking space!

The whole weekend the service was friendly, helpful and non intrusive. The service at breakfast by other members of staff was also incredibly polite and almost made me embarrassed at how well I was treated (a good thing!).

The room was smallish but we knew that when we booked and it really wasn't a problem as it was impeccably clean and well presented. There was a selection of free DVDs for our room which after 8 hours walking round town was well appreciated. These guys understand how to be attentive without being over bearing hosts. I cannot think of a single negative point regarding this place. Thank you for a lovely relaxing weekend

29 Mar 2011 ~ “A faultless experience, excellent hosts, clean & comfortable accommodation”  5 of 5 stars

Could not fault our weekend stay , excellent location and very clean and smart rooms. The breakfast was also excellent nothing was too much for the owners of the hotel. Will be going back regularly

24 Feb 2011 ~ “Perfect place to stay”  5 of 5 stars

The decor is gorgeous and the whole place is spotlessly clean. Location is good and friendly service. I appreciated the big towels, something I often complain about elsewhere! Nice traditional breakfast. Very good value.

21 Feb 2011 ~ “Wonderful Stay!”  5 of 5 stars

The owners were very friendly and welcoming, showed me to my beautiful Titanic Room after a long flight from Hong Kong. It was exactly like the photos you see on their web-site. The English breakfast was cooked beautifully and plenty of cereal and orange juice to start with. Attention to details and the room was very clean, It felt like home! Perfect place to stay and will definitely come back to stay. Thanks.

17 Feb 2011 ~ “One very impressed girlfriend.”  5 of 5 stars

I treated my girlfriend to a romantic Valentines weekend break at the Brighton Pavilions and I am so glad I chose this hotel and one of their themed rooms based on the Titanic passenger ship. A four poster bed that felt like you were floating on a cloud, fresh cut flowers, fluffy towels, bath robes and excellent room service. Excellent food and all the staff were very friendly. If you want to impress your loved one, book a room at the Brighton Pavilions. Highly recommended. 10/10

14 Feb 2011 ~ “All you can ask for”  5 of 5 stars

Booked this for a weekend getaway for valentines day and it was perfect. The room was as described, and extremely clean as was the whole of the b&b. The welcome was great, shown to our room and given loads of interesting information about the surroundings, all our questions were answered and a map and information about all that Brighton has to offer were available in the room. Complimentary water and kit kats in the mini fridge, free phone calls, a book of recommended restaurants, guest parking vouchers on request, they even have a decent collection of dvds free to borrow and every room has a flatscreen tv with freeview and dvd player, They also have free wifi but we did not use it. All the rooms had memory foam mattresses, first time I had slept on one and it was great, absolutely no noise from the street either. Breakfast is pretty comprehensive and very nice, tea, coffee, fruit juice, cereals, toast and full english as well as veggie option and served with a smile. I was given advice about the best place to park as that can be a little tricky and recommended places to go out and things to see. Couldn't be happier with the place and will definitely be going back when next visiting Brighton. Just a shame they couldn't do anything about the weather!

9 Jan 2011 ~ “can't fault it”  5 of 5 stars

we stayed for 3 nights in early february and could not fault it at all. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome. very clean and tidy and well decorated. The breakfasts were all huge with ample tea and toast.
the bed was extremely comfortable lots of pillows and cushions and lots of tea and coffee in the room. Our little dog even had its own throw on the bed.
we had a great time, well done to all concerned
we will return
debby and geoff.

9 Jan 2011 ~ “Excellent Place”  5 of 5 stars

A beautiful B&B, spotless rooms, great service, and located in a quiet picturesque side street 50m from the beach. Friendly helpful staff, and the kitchen caters for vegetarian and gluten free diets. The room we stayed in, the Mikado, was lovely, but a little on the small side, however the rest of the experience more than made up for it. Would definitely return.

4 Jan 2011 ~ “Faultless”  5 of 5 stars

Excellent service, incredibly clean, lavish decorations throughout, good location and a very tasty fry up! Overall a fantastic hotel and one I’d thoroughly recommend. Thank you.

22 Dec 2010 ~ “Brighton Pavilions, Brighton Perfection!!”  5 of 5 stars

We knew from the efficient way our booking was handled that these guys excel at what they do. After a long cold train journey we arrived at Brighton Pavilions and were immediately impressed by the traditional welcoming christmas decorations in the hall that very much suited the building. We were warmly welcomed by Ken & Phil and taken to our room ‘Garbo Pavilion’ exquisitely designed in Art Deco style, with panelled walls and period furniture and lots of beautiful extras. A nice touch were the mince pies and Sherry too as was the full hospitality tray and complimentary water, soft drinks and chocolate in the fridge We were informed of all the best local restaurants that were all within walking distance and lots of information about shopping etc. .After one of the best nights sleep ever in the comfy bed, Breakfast was excellent and cooked to order with plenty of choice and served with a smile by Mahdi. We had a fantastic stay, despite the freezing weather and would recommend this B & B for a superb quality and cosy break.

15 Dec 2010 ~ “Warm and Personal Service”  5 of 5 stars

The welcome from Ken and Phill, on our arrival, immediately conveyed the warmth that was to be the hallmark of our stay. Nothing was too much trouble, and their attention to detail was delightful.
My wife and I went to stay for a short break on our 25th wedding anniversary. Ken and Phill helped us celebrate with lovely flowers in the room, and even a box of chocolates for my wife – unexpected and above what they needed to do, but did so because they are excellent, thoughtful hosts. The service was commendable, and the way breakfast is served, not too early, and simple to order when we were ready, made a relaxing sleep in more relaxing.
The room had the romantic atmosphere we were seeking, with plenty of coffee and tea, and herbal teas. It was warm and the bathroom was clean and well stocked.
Brighton Pavilions Hotel is situated a 10 minute stroll into town, and only 50 metres from promenade, and 500 metres from the sea. It is situated in a quiet street, so no traffic noises.
What I liked the best was the warmth of Ken and Phill which is their hallmark for their service.
What I liked the least was the mattress. It was not comfortable and made sleeping difficult. Well very little is perfect, but I would recommend this hotel, if you want a warm, welcoming stay in Brighton.

16 Dec 2010 ~ Management Response by Ken Clarke, co-owner

Thank you for such a glowing review, it really was a pleasure to accommodate you and your lovely wife for such a special celebration. I'm only sorry that you didn't appreciate the memory foam mattress. I know it takes some people time to adjust to them but nearly all of our guests rave about their comfort since we installed them in all rooms over the past two years.

16 Nov 2010 ~ “The hotel that sums up Brighton, fun and fab”  5 of 5 stars

We were upgraded on arrival which was much appreciated and made to feel very welcome, the room was comfortable and spotless and the attention to detail was
second to none.

16 Nov 2010 ~ “A unique and enjoyable experience.”  5 of 5 stars

Friendly and helpful staff, loved the Breakfast in our room, Titanic!
Location couldn't have been better. Everywhere within walking distance.
Parking outside.
We had a lovely 2 days the only thing that marred our stay was a Force 8 gale!

15 Nov 2010 ~ “A little gem on the seafront”  5 of 5 stars

Really enjoyed our stay - the room was more than comfortable and there was a family atmosphere to the service.
We will certainly come back
Thanks.

14 Nov 2010 ~ “A gem in Brighton!”  5 of 5 stars

This guest house was lovely and was worth the search to find a guaranteed good quality place to stay! We felt valued by the very friendly staff. The Royal Pavilion room was clean, comfortable and spacious. It was great having breakfast served in our room.

9 Nov 2010 ~ “Friendly, clean B&B in great location.”  4 of 5 stars

Ken and Phil were extremely welcoming, and very helpful with providing local tips. Our room (Garbo) was decorated in a fun, themed manner, and was very clean. We slept soundly as the B&B was very quiet. Breakfast was plentiful. Our only quibbles were minor: the room was very small, the bed even more so (admittedly I am rather tall), and at £85 per night it is not cheap. Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

10 Nov 2010 ~ Management Response by Ken Clarke, co-owner

Thank you for taking the time to write a review - we are delighted that you enjoyed your stay. As I have written before, some of our rooms are on the small side and, as we refer to them as bijou and publish the room sizes online, so it shouldn't come as a surprise. The bed in Garbo Pavilion is not 'very small', it's a standard double size in an antique brass bedstead which dates from the 1920's. If I had known that you were over 6' 6" tall then I would have strongly recommended one of the other two larger rooms you were offered when you made the reservation - one of which has a king size double. With an AA rated 4 star, Highly Commended rating for our housekeeping standards, decor and facilities, you wouldn't expect us to be 'cheap', but with the special last minute discount you received, I hope you accept that you had good value for money.

9 Nov 2010 ~ “Absolutely fantastic”  5 of 5 stars

I really can't say enough good things about this hotel. I came to Brighton to propose to my girlfriend so it was vital that everything was just right. The Brighton Pavilions more than delivered. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The whole place was clean, quiet and comfortable and the themed rooms were a great touch that really set this hotel apart from others. I will definitely be booking again but next time for an anniversary.

27 Oct 2010 ~ “Brighton is wonderful”  4 of 5 stars

Lovely welcome by the owners. The decor is very nice and our room, although small, had everything you could wish for including free chocolate and water in the fridge. A note saying fresh milk was available was also very welcome.
Breakfast was served in a nice room overlooking a patio garden and was pretty ok. Perhaps a little more selection would be nice.
My only criticism - and it is a small one - please use fresh mushrooms and not the tinned/frozen grey things that were served.

30 Oct 2010 ~ Management Response by Ken Clarke, co-owner

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Sorry if the breakfast selection wasn't quite enough, but we do offer the traditional breakfast fare of juices, cereals, yoghurts and grapefruit, followed by a Full English breakfast or bacon and eggs or a Vegetarian English breakfast or grilled cheese, eggs or beans on toast. This is served with a selection of teas or fresh ground coffee, white or wholemeal toast with preserves and marmalade.

Just to answer your only criticism, we always use fresh mushrooms - never tinned or frozen. They are sauteed in herb butter but unfortunately the open cap variety do tend to take on the inky grey stain of the dark gills when cooked.

6 Oct 2010 ~ “A great place to stay”  4 of 5 stars

We stayed for three nights at Brighton Pavilions and would certainly recommend it to anyone wanting a B&B within walking distance of the town, seafront, a choice of restaurants and the marina, yet quiet and with the possibility (although it is not always easy) of parking close-by. The rooms are great fun with comfortable beds and the usual amenities. The service is excellent : friendly, helpful and professional and we enjoyed having a good cooked breakfast brought to our (luxury) room : there was enough space to eat it at a little table in the bay window, with a view of the sea.
If travelling by car it is well worth taking advantage of the parking permit arrangement offered.

4 Oct 2010 ~ “Loverly hotel, great attention to detail, friendly and helpful staff.”  5 of 5 stars

Stayed there this weekend past for our anniversary, very good location, we were made very welcome on arrival, really nice room, compact rather than actually small but we had the most basic suite. It was extremely well decorated though - as quite big fans of Art Deco, the Garbo Pavilion was excellent.

Very quiet at night, good firm mattress.

Breakfast was good for a B&B. I wouldn't say it was anything special, but was perfectly good.

27 Sept 2010 ~ “A wonderful find - an oasis of beauty and calm”  5 of 5 stars

Kind, caring owners made this very short stay wonderful. Beautiful house, beautiful room and beautiful people! Thank you.

20 Sept 2010 ~ “A wonderful hotel, 100% recommended!”  5 of 5 stars

I have stayed in hotels at twice this price and always had ideas how the experience could be improved. This place to my mind, is perfect. I could describe it as a home from home, but I'd rather be in sunny Brighton!
Nothing is wanting. Very stylish rooms, very clean and well serviced.
Vegetarians well catered for .
Charming hosts.
Back soon!

12 Sept 2010 ~ “A good location, and a warm welcome at this fabulous hotel.”  5 of 5 stars

We have been to Brighton Pavilions 4 times now, and each time is like visiting old friends. We always have a warm welcome from Phill and Ken, and each room we have stayed in was lavishly decorated with an incredibly comfy double bed. They cleverly made the rooms feel more spacious and especially homely. The en-suite provided a much-needed shower after a long walk along the coast. On a couple of rainy days, we returned to our room early and watched a few DVD's from the video library. Some hotel rooms can feel so pokey, impersonal or unkempt that you just want to leave as soon as you can, and not come back until late, but it was a pleasure to spend the odd afternoon there. Breakfast was generous; with cereal, fruit and an old-fashioned English breakfast, cooked with the same high standard every morning. And the staff were very accommodating when other guests wanted a practical change to the menu. The hotel is situated so conveniently close to the town and the elevated promenade is only at the end of the road, overlooking the beach and pier. I know my holiday has started once I have seen that sea

10 Sept 2010 ~ “Excellent...”  5 of 5 stars

My daughter and I stayed last year around August Bank Holiday as part of her annual visit to me...the service great and all staff very friendly...they made her first hotel stay memorable for all the right reasons.

We came back this year and have already booked next year's visit.

If I ever have reason to spend time in Brighton, the Pavilions will be hearing from me

1 Sept 2010 ~ “faultless b+b with superb attention to detail”  5 of 5 stars

i have stayed in many top hotels all around the world but not felt as comfortable and well looked after before. The rooms were spotless and very well cleaned every morning . Breakfast was served in the rooms which made anice change to the normal mad self service . will be going back soon for another relaxing break . well worth a visit. many thanks for our gift and making our stay special.

31 Aug 2010 ~ “Pristine, Friendly, one of Brighton's 'hidden gems!'”  5 of 5 stars

We had a wonderfully romantic relaxing two days away from children! We stayed in the perfectly formed Camelot Room - "medieval and romantic"! The deco and attention to detail was fantastic. The fridge with complimentary gifts a lovely treat, the wonderful super soft towels and cleanliness were supurb, the breakfast was also lovely, not to mention the wifi access (we just to had to read our business emails!). Both Ken and Phil were helpful and friendly. We would recommend you visit this "hidden gem". We hope to visit again....I think we will try the "Titanic Room" next time!
Thank you for a great stay

31 Aug 2010 ~ “Absolutely Fabulous”  5 of 5 stars

This little boutique hotel was almost missed when we found ourselves on Charlotte street looking for it. Its so neatly understated that you find yourself carefully reading off the names of ALL the hotels on this quiet little road before you spot it!
When we arrived, we were served instantly. No hanging about waiting to be greeted here, let me tell you! AND we were greeted with friendly smiles, both the owners coming out to introduce themselves to us and lead us to our room.
We chose to stay in one of the beautiful theme rooms. Its called the Royal. It was terrific. The decor for this room was inspired by Queen Victoria's personal chambers. Think soft greens and golds. Nothing crass or kitch here, I assure you. The room was not only luxurious but also cosy. The beautiful four poster bed had one of the most comfortable mattresses I've ever slept on! I also HAVE to mention that there were many extras included in an easily affordable rate that took this stay from being more than just memorable but real value for money. The breakfast was brought up to our room, piping hot and delivered with a smile from cheerful staff who clearly enjoy working at the hotel. We stayed on the Friday evening and found in our bar fridge complimentary diet cokes, chocolates, as well as juice and yoghurts for our morning breakfast. I was also pleasantly surprised with the ample provision of much needed complimentary coffee satchets (no scrimping here), teas and hot chocolate! From the moment we arrived, to the time we had to leave (sadly) we never ceased being impressed with the polite and ever friendly service, location and extras that this delightful boutique hotel provided. May they never change

27 Aug 2010 ~ “Best B&B I have EVER stayed in!!”  5 of 5 stars

Spent two nights at Brighton Pavilions with my girlfriend and the dog and really couldn't fault our stay at all. We were welcomed at the door by Ken and Phill who made us feel sooo welcome during our stay.
We stayed in the Titanic themed room which although was not huge was plenty large enough for a couple and their well behaved dog. The room was beautifully decorated as was the whole hotel and exceptionally clean.
Breakfast in our room was a lovely touch (and delicious!!!) and so were the complimentary soft drinks, chocolates and fresh flowers....oh and lets not forget free broadband which was handy as I was able to do some work during my stay as well.
Superb location only a few minutes walk from the centre of Brighton and literally a stones throw from the beach.
Would highly recommend Brighton Pavilions to all singels, couples or family.....oh and lets not forget the pooch who was made just as welcome with his own blanket supplied in the room.
Will certainly hope to be back soon.

23 Aug 2010 ~ “A fantastic find!”  5 of 5 stars

I booked two days before and was lucky enough to get the last remaining room. We stayed in the Camelot room on 21st August (which is the smallest of the double rooms but for the money, cleanliness, complimentary soft drinks, water and chocolate in the fridge, free delicious breakfast and lovely welcome from Phil and Ken was absolutely worth it). We will definitely return when we go back to Brighton.

13 Aug 2010 ~ “A good guesthouse but small rooms”  4 of 5 stars

We stayed two nights in august at Brighton Pavilions. It is well located in Charlotte street (among many other guesthouses) only a five-minute walk from the Lanes and the Pier . The Camelot room we stayed in was clean but not very big and it soon becomes very messy the minute you decide to open your suitcase. Due to the size of the room, bedheads encounters could prove painful at night. The bathroom (shower) was clean but small and insufficient room was provided for folding towels whether in the bathroom or in the bedroom. Nice hosts, free wifi and good breakfast. Try your chosen days on the online booking service since I found out. special rates might appear from a two-night stay.

20 Aug 2010 ~ Management Response by Ken Clarke, co-owner

Thank you for taking the time to post a review. I am however a little bemused by some of the comments.

Yes the rooms are on the small side (there are smaller in Brighton!!) but we do refer to them as bijou and publish the room sizes online so it shouldn't come as a surprise. However, there are ample drawers, cupboards and hangers for a short stay if guests take the time to unpack and put their clothes away. Unfortunately some guests will always live out of their suitcases and deposit clothes all over the room, which makes a mess no matter how large the room.

I don't quite understand the comment about the 'bedhead encounter' because it's against a wall, shrouded by a canopy and therefore difficult to encounter even at night????

Finally, I do take issue with the comment about insufficient space to fold (hang?) towels as there is a heated towel rail, hooks on the doors, hand towel rings and plenty of shelf space in every shower room.

13 Aug 2010 ~ “Wonderful and Relaxing”  5 of 5 stars

It was our first visit to Brighton. We stayed in Titanic room for 3 nights and had a wonderful relaxing break. It was the little touches that made it stand out from other places - fluffy white robes, coke, water and chocolate in the fridge plus items for breakfast. We had the extra pleasure of having breakfast served in our room, which was lovely and relaxing. The breakfast was cooked to order and gorgeous. The room was immaculate, the fresh flowers a joy and the mattress was so comfortable we didn;t want to get up. Ken and Phil were fantastic hosts and we will definately stay there again.

7 Aug 2010 ~ “What more could we have asked for - NOTHING!!!”  5 of 5 stars

Excellent Hotel, very clean and comfortable accommodation in a very quiet area of Brighton. Loved the themed rooms. Pretty garden patio area with an abundance of potted fucias and other sweet smelling flowers, where we could sit and relax to our hearts content. Excellent Hosts, such lovely guys - Ken and Phil were so helpful, not having been to Brighton before they informed us of all the main attractions and places of interest where we could go and most of them only a stones throw away from our hotel. Excellent food such a variety to tempt us at breakfast each morning. We would have no hesitation in recommending this little gem of a hotel not only to friends and family, but to anyone going to Brighton, can't wait to take a trip there again ourselves in the not too distant future

2 Aug 2010 ~ “An excellent friendly hotel with a personal touch - Fantastic!”  5 of 5 stars

Ken & Phil have probably wondered where my review has gone, and I'm not one to break a promise, sorry for the delay guys! Just recently relocated to Northern Ireland and stayed at the Brighton Pavilions at the end of April. Well even before we got there I've got to say many thanks for waiting for us as we were delayed that day and arrived after 10pm - not your average check in time but was very much appreciated!

Well what can I say about the hotel, both my partner and I loved the themed Greta Garbo room.......yes the room was a little on the small side but with a memory foam matress to sleep on, we were in heaven!! Never rested so well whilst we've been away before. I requested some flowers to be in the room for my partner as it was our anniversary and they were beautiful, thanks! Everything was very clean & spotless and little touches like bottled water and chocolates were nice.

Breakfast was varied and had a good choice of cereals and fruit, as well as a delicious cooked breakfsast, the only thing I personally missed was having a poached egg, hopefully if we're visiting on another occasion it can be put on the menu, please!

Overall a very pleasant stay and the nice patio garden area so my partner could smoke was appreciated! I would gladly recommend this hotel to others

2 Aug 2010 ~ “Enchanting, hospitable, tasty, very central and met all of our needs!”   5 of 5 stars

Enchanting, hospitable, tasty, very central and absolutely met all of our needs. Can't wait to go again. Kate & Andrew.

26 July 2010 ~ “First choice”  4 of 5 stars

We stayed here just the one night in the Titanic Suite located perfectly within walking distance from all the main attractions and shops but away from the hustle and noisy bars. Immaculately clean, extremely accommodating hosts and a very tasty full English breakfast, we would not hesitate to stay here again on our next trip to Brighton.

22 July 2010 ~ “Friendly, pristine, wonderful location and great breakfast”  5 of 5 stars

Had a lovely and relaxed couple of days here. We stayed in Camelot, which is I believe the most "compact" room. It was small, but fine for 2 days, the bed was very comfy, and the medieval theme was cute without being overwhelming.

The hosting was friendly but not intrusive, the location is ideal - you have to like walking a bit, but we enjoyed the walk into the Lanes and other touristy areas, especially as we ate extremely well, not only breakfast but in Brighton generally.

Would recommend Blue Man Moroccan restaurant and Food for Friends for delicious veggie food.

21 July 2010 ~ “Perfect Little B&B”  5 of 5 stars

We stayed in the titanic room for 2 nights to celebrate my husband’s birthday and from the moment you walk into the house to the moment you leave it is pure luxury. I had arranged for some cava to be in the room when we arrived which was perfectly selected and tasted Devine. The bed was very comfortable and the room a fair size. Although the bathroom was small the room more then made up for it. I loved the fresh flowers not only in our room but the house; it gives a lovely smell when you walked into the rooms. I guess you could say it’s a tad bit expensive compared to some places but when you think if all the little touches and the service you get I don’t think it really is. It was a perfect little hotel in a perfect location. We loved our stay so much, that we were very sad to leave. We would recommend to anyone and will also be visiting again.

Lovely touches and extras

Flowers in room
Toiletries
Water, coke, yoghurt, orange juice, milk & chocolate bars in room
Breakfast in room (freshly cooked)
Dressing gowns in cupboards
DVD player
DVD’s
Freeview
Parking £5 a day (Free Sunday)

Thanks Again Phil & Ken.

20 July 2010 ~ “Absolutely first class, would highly recommend and visit again”  5 of 5 stars

From the moment Ken greeted us at the front door, I thought 'now here's somewhere I'm going to enjoy staying'. The entrance hall was immaculate and looking up you could see the beautiful staircase and original features that have been restored to the building. Our room was the 'Garbo' room on the ground floor overlooking the petite patio garden at the rear which was decked out with beautiful palm trees, hanging baskets and pots in full bloom. What a lovely outside space. Our room was immaculately clean, with everything you could possibly need for a weekend or overnight stay. I particularly liked the gorgeous original 1930's dressing table. There was a fridge, TV with DVD player - you can borrow films from the film library in the lounge area, hospitality tray, notepad and pen, maps, visitors guides, complimentary toiletries, oh everything had been thought of. I was most impressed to discover that the mattress was a high quality 'memory foam' one and enjoyed my best nights sleep in ages. So much so that I am now pestering hubby to buy one!. When we came back late friday afternoon after a hard days shopping, i didn't feel so good, but Ken and Phill did all they could to make me feel better. Ken dashed off for some peppermint tea, nothing was too much trouble. I felt much better in the morning after a delicious full English breakfast in the Palm Court Dining Room. My only complaint here would be the woman that spent the whole time talking on her mobile 'phone, even whilst eating! As if you'd do that in a restaurant, sooo rude. We stayed here as a treat for my husband's birthday. We're both trendy types in our early forties who love the good things in life and good service. You cannot fail to be impressed if you stay here.

19 July 2010 ~ “Thanks guys for a lovely stay”  5 of 5 stars

Found this B&B on tripadvisor, and was very happy with our stay. Nice service, such as chocolate in the fridge and a great cooked breakfast. Very satisified, well recomended!

9 July 2010 ~ “Excellent - lovely B&B in the heart of Kemp Town”  5 of 5 stars

Brighton Pavilions is a beautiful retreat close to the Brighton pier, seaside, and night life. Ken and Phill are wonderful hosts, ready at a moment's notice to help and generous with WIFI, breakfast, and amiability. When I return to Brighton, here is the only place I'd stay.

8 July 2010 ~ “Fantastic B&B with great hosts”  5 of 5 stars

It truly is a delightful place with Ken & Phil the perfect hosts who are so friendly and helpful. It is immaculately cleaned and my friend and I loved it. We loved it so much that we are returning again in December with my daughters. I always take my dog and they even made the dog feel welcomed. Thank you Ken & Phil. Nimmi.

5 July 2010 ~ “lovely Boutique Hotel”  5 of 5 stars

I have recently retured from a 7 night stay at The Brighton Pavilions hotel.I paid £390 for sole occupancy of a double room which I think was a reasonable price.
I chose this hotel because of its good reviews on Trip Advisor, and I 'm glad that I did so.
I stayed in The Garbo room which is small ,but very clean ,comfortable &nicely decorated with attention to detail. The ensuite bathroom ,with shower is nice too.
The people who run the hotel and the people who work there were all friendly & approachable.
I think the hotel was full for at least some of my stay but it was very quiet .
The dining room is nice ,bright & airy.Guests help themselves to cereals ,yoghurt &grapefruit & orange segments. There is a cooked breakfast [Veggie or non veggie] which is freshly prepared .& nicely presented.I was always asked if I wanted extra toast,,extra coffee etc.

4 July 2010 ~ “Fabulous hotel in great location”  5 of 5 stars

Stayed in June 2010 while touring the area - from the minute we crossed the threshold to the minute we left Ken and Phill could not have been more accomodating and friendly - extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble - Ken even gave us some champagne flutes when he saw us carrying in a bottle. We stayed in the Royal Pavilion room which not only looked fantastic but was extremely comfortable. We slept with the windows open yet were not disturbed as the street outside was very quiet, even though the centre is only a few minutes walk away. We had breakfast in our room which was fantastic - the whole stay was a real opulent and wonderfully over the top experience - we loved it and will certainly be back.

3 July 2010 ~ “5* service for 3* prices..”  5 of 5 stars

The welcoming nature of the owners made me feel at home straight away which was good as I've never been to Brighton before. Good location 5-10 min walk to the pier and the main shopping area. The rooms were spotless and a fridge with free soft drinks and snacks. All the rooms have a theme which gives the place character and a warm feeling that you don't get with chain hotels. It was the same price as the nearest premier inn but with breakfast included and most likely better service. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay in Brighton.

30 June 2010 ~ “A fabulous little place with incredible service”  5 of 5 stars

My colleague and I stayed at Brighton Pavilions. Our hosts, especially Ken, were always courteous, helpful, and accommodating. I was shocked that so many of my colleagues staying at other hotels were nickled and dimed until their final bills were outrageous. Here, breakfast and internet were included, so I didn't have to worry about a huge bill at the end. The breakfasts were made to-order, so they were always wonderfully fresh. The theme rooms were so cute! We stayed in the Camelot room. Although it was quite warm due to the unseasonably hot weather, a fan was included to encourage the flow of air. I would not hesitate to stay here again for future visits.

22 June 2010 ~ “Brilliant experience, beautiful room, excellent service!”  5 of 5 stars

We stayed at the Brighton Pavilions for 3 nights in June. We were warmly welcomed by Ken who dealt with the parking permit immediately - great to be able to forget about the car for the weekend!

Absolutely LOVED the room! We stayed in the Garbo room and really liked the art deco style and other touches such as the 'do not disturb' sign which said 'I want to be alone'. The room was small but very clean and had everything you'd expect from a larger, more expensive hotel; toiletries, tea/coffee and biscuits, TV, etc. They also provided drinks and chocolate in the mini fridge which is always a winner in my eyes! There is also a selection of DVDs which you can borrow free of charge if you fancy staying in your room and watching a film.

Breakfast was lovely every day - my fiancι and I are both vegetarian but definitely didn't go hungry as there were plenty of veggie options available.

All in all, a fabulous experience - great food, excellent service and quirky, clean rooms. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to others and will definitely be going back.

14 June 2010 ~ “A perfect gem of a place”  5 of 5 stars

Travelled with friends for a week-end in Brighton and not disappointed with this gem of a bed and breakfast. The owners and all staff were welcoming, friendly, efficient, warm and helpful. Our rooms, although small, were perfectly formed; they were comfortable, quiet, spotlessly clean and each one wonderfully decorated. The whole accommodation was charming, plush, smelt great and felt fantastic from the moment you walked in. The location is excellent; close enough to all amenities (within walking distance if you don't mind walking) but far enough away to avoid the noise and rowdy crowds at night. It is situated in a lovely area and as a party of 5 women we felt totally safe both within and outside of the accommodation. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to stay again with our partners or families if we visited Brighton again.

13 June 2010 ~ “Themed Hotel - Garbo Experience”  5 of 5 stars

Eccentric and entertaining.
Our room, while a wee bit of a tight fit, was very clean and tastefully decorated, as you would expect in Garboesque style. Bigger rooms to be had apparenly but ours suited us perfectly.
Very friendly and efficient hosts and staff. Good grub, well presented.
Placed well within reach of The Lanes and The North Laines (our pref).
Good nearby restaurants but better pubs nearer to the Brighton Dome
Also recommend trying the eateries at the Brighton Marina. You'll think you're in the Med if the sun shines here.
Have already recommended this hotel to friends.
Thank you Ken and Phill for a comfortable and friendly experience. Hope the dog got better

8 June 2010 ~ “Excellent hotel, lovely room and first class service!”  5 of 5 stars

Really interesting delightful room decorated and furnished with a great attention to detail. Wonderful hosts, friendly and very informative. The most wonderful thing about our 2 night stay was all the little extras, breakfast served to the room, great hospitality tray, complimentary fridge of goodies and even a box of chocs for my boyfriend who was celebrating his birthday while there! Would go back tomorrow if i could!

1 June 2010 ~ “Stylish Comfortable and Comfy”  5 of 5 stars

Whenever you arrive at any accommodation you always hope that it will be meet your expectations. You won’t be disappointed at the Brighton Pavilions. Our welcome was warm and efficient. Ken dealt with the residents parking permit, only £5 from Saturday lunch through to Monday lunch. He also helped us take or luggage to the room and explained what we needed to know for our stay. The location is only yards from the seafront and just a gentle stroll to the pier and the centre of town.
We stayed in the Titanic Pavilion. Well worth the climb up the stairs and as with the rest of the house it was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The four poster bed is both impressive and comfortable. There was plenty of room for your clothes and a small fridge with complementary chocolate, soft drinks and water.
We ate breakfast in our room the first morning, it delivered promptly and was again up to the standard set throughout. All the staff we encountered were very pleasant and helpful. Ken and Phill were happy to answer any questions and give advice on where to eat etc.
If we visit Brighton again we would definitely stay at the Brighton Pavilions.

29 May 2010 ~ “cannot be much better in Brighton”  5 of 5 stars

A stunning small bed and breakfast hotel that surely cannot be bettered in Brighton. The attention to detail is breathtaking and everything is spotlessly clean. This coupled with very competitive room rates make this hotel is a must stay hotel for all. We will certainly be returning and hope to stay in one of the larger four poster bed rooms. Best regards to Ken and Phil who made our stay so enjoyable.

21 May 2010 ~ “A quiet and elegant hideaway, just off the seafront!!”  5 of 5 stars

The MMA used the Hotel as the Committee hotel during their recent conference. The staff could not have been more helpful. The Hotel was spotlessly clean, and breakfasts excellent. My wife and I stayed in one of the two four poster rooms, that come with room service. It was a joy to return to the quiet and elegant surroundings of the Hotel, after the busy days at the conference. We will certainly return on our next visit to Brighton. Highly recommended.

16 May 2010 ~ “Stay at the Brighton Pavilions Hotel - it's lovely!!”  5 of 5 stars

Excellent service, we were very well looked after and the management were extremely accommodating. We chose Brighton Pavilions as they take well behaved dogs and the themed rooms looked really quirky on the internet.
The hotel was fabulously clean and very well cared for. The room was beautifully presented and you'd really never know that dogs had been in there so don't let the fact that they accept dogs put you off if you're not a dog lover!!
Location was great, a 5 min walk along the gorgeous beach to the pier and about 10 min walk into the city centre.
Loved it all, would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

17 May 2010 ~ “Such a joy to stay in such luxurious

surroundings and to be so well looked after”  5 of 5 stars

Fantastic position near all you need in Brighton. Superb hosts, nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast served at sensible times and with style. Rooms are just stunning - each one a theme all on its own. I stayed in Garbo, downstairs double room - and I felt I was surrounded by 1920's luxury, silk curtains and bedspread - with all the other IT and TV of the 21st century. I have already recommended this B & B to friends and family. I hope to be back to stay and have time to enjoy it all again.

16 May 2010 ~ “Fantastic hotel!!”  5 of 5 stars

Brighton Pavillions was a fantastic choice for our stay in Brighton. The owners were so helpful and friendly and the rooms were unusual and very comfortable. Would definitely go back and recommend it to others!

4 May 2010 ~ “Super weekend”  5 of 5 stars

We had a great weekend in the Pavilions in the Titanic room. Everything was as described in the website and went beyond our expectations. The hosts ( Ken and Phil) were terrific and had lots of great advice and help especially around the parking. the advice on their website on restaurants was great and really useful.
